Birds' Nest View: 2 bedroom home apartment with forested walking paths
This comfortable space provides guests with opportunities to walk woodland paths, hear the chirping of birds, relax on a deck looking into the forest, and have fun in the nearby small town of Snohomish. Use this space as your transition to the Olympic Peninsula, Cascade Mountains or Canada, The apartment is attached, yet completely separated from the main house by doors locked on both sides and a private entrance accessed via stairs. The main room includes a kitchen space, dining table, queen-sized bed, TV, desk workspace and reading nook. The small kitchen area includes a convection microwave oven, two-burner hot plate, toaster, small refrigerator and many cooking utensils. The additional bedroom includes a second TV and a twin bunk bed. Guests are invited to explore marked paths on the property in the forest behind the house: relax as you listen to birdsong and walk through dappled sunlight below towering cedars and maples. Discover seasonal variations in nature: bleeding hearts in spring, waving ferns in summer, sprouting mushrooms in fall, and sometimes sparkling snow in winter. Guests are not permitted to walk down the hill to the creek; it is a protected area. Windy conditions can cause trees or branches to fall in the woods; guests should consider not entering the woods in these conditions. The hosts speak Spanish, Chinese, French and Dutch. Please note that there is a hill just before you reach our driveway. If you are staying with us during the winter, and conditions become snowy or icy, you may need four wheel drive, snow tires or chains to get up and down the hill. These weather conditions do not occur every winter, and they do not occur often in any given winter, but they do happen. If you make a reservation, and decide to cancel because of snow or ice conditions, I will refund your full payment even if the cancellation occurs less than a week before your arrival date.

The Bird’s Nest is so lovely! What a peaceful retreat to rest and recharge. The host was so kind and helpful, there were tons of personal touches that made us feel even more comfortable, and everything was simply perfect. We can’t wait to stay again!
Fantastic little apartment! Our host were very thoughtful in the details. It was very clean and cheerful with a private deck and beautiful paths that weaved through the property. Our hosts were warm, friendly and helpful when we had questions. There was a second room with a bunkbed if needed. We definately found a favorite stay place. Very peaceful and quiet.
This property is absolutely beautiful! I only wish we had more time to fully enjoy the tranquility it offers. It’s peaceful and secluded, surrounded by gorgeous greenery, yet still conveniently close to town. Perfect for family fun, games, and relaxation, with all the right amenities provided. The host was so kind, welcoming, and clearly put a lot of thought into making the space comfortable. The kids especially loved the thoughtful snacks left for us. I only wish we had more time to sip coffee on the deck and take in the lush, green surroundings.
We had the most wonderful stay at our first VRBO. Amenities were clearly listed. The trails on the property were clearly marked and we all enjoyed them. The space was clean, organized and even included snacks, water and ice. Our stay here was better than several hotels that we have stayed at. They also had a fire bowl where we could enjoy roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for smores. My kids had the greatest time. My favorite part was the comfortable armchairs where I sat and read to my hearts content.

Thank you so much, Elena. It was great to have your family here! We hope to see you again sometime.
Took a minute for my dog to trust going up the long staircase to the unit but he conquered his fear. It was quiet. The host and hostess are very friendly. The unit itself was clean and large enough to accommodate myself, my partner and little dog. The bed is a queen and a bit small for the two of us but we managed. I knew what I was up against. I am not a little guy. All in all a pleasant stay.
How is this for à review. Feel free to add/change:I so enjoyed my stay at the Bird’s Nest View! What a beautiful and peaceful location! I needed a day away from my home while work was being done, and I wish I could have stayed here a lot longer. I love the homey decor and used their beautiful little desk nook to get some work done on my laptop. I was surprised that the microwave was also a convection oven which greatly expanded my options for meals. I loved the outside patio and wish I had more time to enjoy the fire pit. The forest trails were lovely and serene and I saw an owl! I want to come back when I have more time.
