About this property

Amazing Gulf of Mexico Sunsets at Mangrove Manor!

We were formerly known as Casa del Sol.

We have recently updated to a brand new 2 level elevated home with the same amazing evening sunsets over the Gulf. Enjoy the wildlife on the dock, the diversity of birds is amazing! Kayak through the mangroves or head to the beach, so many ways to relax and enjoy your vacation!

House sleeps 8 with a first floor master with ensuite, a second floor master retreat, and two additional bedrooms. We offer a fully functional kitchen and outdoor gas grill. Four kayaks and two paddle boards available for complimentary use. The lanai offers lounge seating and a gym. Two amazing Gulf view decks offer plenty of photo opportunities.

For families with children, please be aware there is no fence between the home and the water. Quiet hours between 9pm and 6am. No pets allowed. Not available during scallop season.

County requirements, strictly enforced: No pets, Only 4 cars fully in the driveway, No boat trailers in the driveway, on the road, or in a vacant lot.
Spa cover replaced after each use. Kayaks replaced on rack, opening down.
Quiet hours between 9pm and 6am. No loud music, loud voices, or slamming doors during this time. No more than 8 people are permitted to stay.

Amazing sunset views!

Our family had a wonderful time! The house was clean and spacious. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed watching the sunsets from the decks and seeing all of the different birds in the mangroves. Nikki was extremely responsive and great to work with. Would definitely stay again.

Just what we needed.

The house was everything we needed. We were in town on an unexpected trip due to a family emergency and this house met our needs perfectly. It was clean and comfortable, a refuge after long days. If we were in town for a vacation, it's a great location with kayaks, a work out area, and right on the canal.

Awesome place on the water!

We booked the property while it was being built with no pictures of the inside. It was beautiful and of course very clean due to the newness. Great house on the water. Plenty of space for multiple families and kids. The kayaks and swim spa were great for the kids to experience. Owners are a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend. Looking forward to staying here again!

Everything is as pictured with the exception of the lower deck level. It has been closed off and made into a screened in area that holds the hammicks, the gym, and the life jackets. The fishing supplies were to rusted and fallen apart that we went to a local walmart and purchased our own. Fine with us but not what we had hoped for. Everything else was as pictured. We had enough to cook meals and hang out. We loved being on the canal and even believe a mantee or dolphin swam up (too dark to confirm). We did not swim off the dock as the canal has sharp rocks on the bed floor. We did use the paddle boards and kayaks and had a lot of fun. Great local beaches and restaurants within walking distance. Area was quiet and the host was prompt on any concerns we had. Local grocery stores are close and entertainment was only a short drive away as well. Loved the swim spa! I also loved the fact that there was a clothing drying rack available to use. It is the small things some times. Cons: Could use a fresh coat of paint on the interior walls. Lots of skuffs and marks on the walls. More wash clothes available for the bathrooms and the kitchen.Overall great place.

The home is beautiful, comfortable and spacious for two couples or a family of 4-5!

Nikki was a wonderful host, always attentive to us and making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Watching New Year festivities from the upstairs deck was awesome! The marina had a live band and fireworks - even a ball that dropped! We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the location. It is secluded, yet close to Tarpon Springs where we often went for dinner and for a walk around town. We highly recommend it and will consider returning!

Very nice.

The house was nice and as pictured in the listing. The owner was very cooperative and responded immediately to my texts. There is a nice view of the gulf, but you have to drive every day to get to a beach. Due to my age and medical issues I found all the stairs to be quite challenging., but it is still a nice place to stay.

Awesome house! Even better host!

We have rented for many years from VRBO for our family. We have a wide range of ages so it's usually difficult to find a house that works. The Mangrove Manor was perfect. The house is immaculately clean, spacious, wonderful amenities. The host was so responsive and answered any questions or concerns that we had before and during our stay. Mangrove Manner Vacation

The Mangrove Manner was magnificent! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the space, amenities and spectacular views! We have seen many animals in our travels around the world, but the active and abundant wildlife that live in the mangrove ecosystem marveled us every day! We saw a hammerhead shark, manatee, stingrays, dolphins and other beautiful sealife! In addition, my family enjoyed the massive swim spa and fishing off the dock! Finally, we thoroughly enjoyed the sunrise and sunset views (of the canal, mangrove and gulf) from our third story master bedroom! We highly recommend this VRBO—it’s a true piece of paradise and Nikki is an excellent host and communicator—thank you. Nikki!

Beautiful property!

We booked this property for a family reunion, there were eight adults total. The whole house was perfect for our family and gave everyone the privacy they needed, but yet had wonderful gathering spaces to enjoy the beautiful views of the gulf. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning on the upper deck, and had dinners on the living room deck, enjoying the sunsets over the canal. The kayaks and paddle boards were a great addition as we enjoyed the water and the wildlife. Nikki was a great host and very communicative. She responded quickly and the check in process went smoothly. I highly recommend this property as it was very clean and nicely updated. So many amenities including a nice washer and dryer to wash up after a day at the beach. The master suite was my favorite with its private deck, views, and coffee bar and mini fridge. Overall, a great place to stay!

Scalloping Weekend

We had a great weekend of Scalloping! 5 of us were able to stay comfortably and we got to witness some great sunsets! If you bring a boat, getting in and out can be an issue. You need to be very aware of the tides.

I can not say enough about the property manager and owner Nikki ! She sets the standard ! The best I've dealt with. See does not let you hanging or waiting, if there is a problem see will go out of her way to solve it !!! If you can not get along with her, well the problem is YOU !!! He home has just been tastefully updated and well stocked. It is very clean and NO BUGS, not a single ant ! Bathrooms are clean and updated, beds are new and comfortable, nice location. Would most defiantly rent this home again.

The owners went out of their way to accommodate my stay as I recovered from surgery at a near by facility. They rescued me after another VRBO reservation was cancelled by the owners due to Covid19 and the HOA's decision to cancel all reservations. If it wasn't for their compassion I would not have been able to have my surgery. I highly recommend this property. GP

Could have been more diligent with the cleaning

The noise heard everytime a door was opened or closed was irritating, there was a blanket in the dryer I had to fold and put away, salt and pepper shakers were greasy, bathroom rugs were dirty, otherwise the house was pretty clean. I just expected it to be extra clean because of the pandemic.

Home away from Home

Mahogany Snapper, Crevalle Jack, Snook, and Striped Mullet---Just a few species of fish caught off the dock of Casa del Sol or in a provided kayak while dipping a fishing rod near the Gulf. Two dolphins play nearby--a Manatee raises her snout inches from our kayak and blows air before surfacing. We grilled Snapper on the home's six burner BBQ grill and didn't want to leave our comfy confines--if only for a drink after a stroll around the corner visiting the GET HOOKED restaurant and bar. RENT THIS HOME!! Niki was very accommodating. Oh yes---DID I MENTION IT WAS OUR SECOND VISIT HERE?

Misleading

Gulf shores? We thought it was close to the beach. When I looked for property, I typed gulf shores alabama. This property popped up. I thought Hudson was an inlet from the beach. I asked the owner how far away the beach was and the response was 5 minutes away. It was a park with no beach but a small strip of sand

I'm sorry you wanted to be in Alabama but ended up in Florida, unfortunately we don't control how we show up in the search function. Our listing accurately states we are in Hudson, FL on the Gulf of Mexico. Our location is also accurate on the map associated with our listing. Nothing about our listing is misleading, I'm sorry you feel that way. As for the beach issue, this is exactly what I told you in our conversation exchange: "We are about 5 minutes from Robert Strickland Park (Hudson Beach), 10 minutes from Sun West Park (great for kids and adults) and about 35-40 minutes from Sunset Beach in Tarpon Springs (great day trip, there are boat trips to Anclote Key, sea sponge shops, and awesome Greek food). We are also very close to Weeki Wachi and Homosassas State Park." I believe I provided enough information to make your own determination on the size and characterization of the nearby beaches. It's exactly the phone conversation we had as well. We hope you and your family enjoyed your time at our property despite not being in Alabama.

Wonderful location

Wonderful location on a quiet canal with fantastic birding in the mangroves and canal, and on walks through the neighborhood. The kayaking was great in the canal and the mangroves. We had some issues with the house, but Nikki was very quick to address them. The only con was that the living room furniture was not as comfortable as we would have liked, but we were told that it would be addressed this summer. We had a great time during the two months we rented. Thank you, Nikki and Mike.

Wonderful property

Nikki had everything to make the vacation wonderful. Weather didn’t cooperate but nothing anyone could do about that. Did find a nice dog park that we enjoyed at Anclote Gulf Park. Nikki was extremely attentive. She got back to us right away if we had any questions. Would rent again, ....maybe when it’s a little warmer.

Hi! I'm Nikki. My husband Mike and I purchased this property in April 2017. We've spent the last couple of months building this amazing new two story home. We hope to someday use this home as our retirement home but for now we want to share it with you!

Why they chose this property

We loved that this house is in a peaceful neighborhood with great neighbors. We especially LOVE the nightly sunsets that will forever be unspoiled! The mangroves, between our dock and the Gulf, cannot be built on. We couldn't be more lucky!

What makes this property unique

Amazing sunsets and so much wildlife! The mangrove is full of stingrays and at least 5 kinds of fish. We have been lucky enough to kayak with dolphins and manatees! Every day we are greeted by a new and interesting bird from the Great Blue Heron to the Roseate Spoonbill - it is never dull!
