Great cabin and lots of yard. Loved the fire pit and the s'mores was a great touch. Inside the kitchen and living room were open and spacious. Bathrooms were clean. Bedding was comfy.

Water filter was dirty on the fridge. Grill wasn’t working because the propane tank was old. I contacted the owner. She said I should go to the store to exchange it or buy another one. There was a garbage container on the deck but it was filled to the top work garbage when we arrived. The host had us walk down a quarter mile down a steep slope to throw our garbage every day. The pictures were deceiving. Half the view is beautiful as displayed. The other half faces industrial areas, dump trucks and trailers.

Hi John. Just a little clarification. A full refund was given to you for exchanging the propane tank. The tank was new but you were not able to get the cap off. Since you were wanting to cook right then it was quickest for you to run to the store to swap. The city trash can is located at the end of the driveway where it is picked up daily. I believe your low star review comes from being charged for destroyed linens. You had nothing but positive comments throughout your stay! We would not be interested in hosting you again.

I love going to Cherokee but please do yourself a favor and don’t make the mistake I did by booking with Donna. I originally only booked 2 nights. I asked on our first day if it was available for a 3rd night, she adds it to my bill. I tell her minutes later that we can not stay due to my father’s diabetes medication and him not having enough for an extra day. She replies and confirms she understands. I then message her on the morning of check out and she responds thanking me for the stay and confirming that she understood the property was now empty. I get back home and she stuck me with extra charges and the extra night. I reached out to her and she refuses to refund the one night that we did not stay. She says it is my fault for not going through the app to cancel when I didn’t even go through the app to book the 3rd night, she did!!, it was all conversation with her. Hate to see someone else done this way too. If people were just honest good human beings.

Hi Haley. I do apologize for any confusion. You had a non refundable booking. You did not message within a few minutes that you would not be staying the 3rd night. It was an entire day later. Please review our time stamped messages ( since you mentioned honesty) You also never cancelled the night in VRBO leaving it blocked and not allowing us the opportunity to rebook. I cannot give a refund when our property was booked and not given the opportunity to rebook. I understand this wasn’t what you wanted to hear. This was explained to you by myself and VRBO. You also stated how much you loved the cabin and enjoyed your stay. Your one star review is pure retaliation for not getting a refund on a non refundable reservation. We do follow our policies put in place. It was stated on your invoice sent that it was non refundable. I wish you the best in the future.
Amazing oasis in the middle of a “bustling” part of Cherokee. The home is filled with excellent amenities, GE appliances, freshly renovated home with granite countertops in bathrooms and kitchen. Keurig AND coffee pot for coffee lovers. Usable and gorgeous wrap around porch with a side fire pit (s’mores included!). The Cherokee call this part of town Painttown and it is right next to Granny’s Kitchen- uber popular buffet with locals. Also about half a mile from Casino. Wheelchair accessible as well. The driveway is steep but well paved, the yard is gorgeous and very large with home located amidst the woods on three sides. The only unfortunate part is being up the road from the nighttime road crew pre0 area. Machinery noise in the evenings starting around 6pm-8pm. Go inside and you can’t hear it. There is liquor store in town, Cherokee reservation is no longer dry!
