The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated. Being able to hear the rushing water down below was amazing. The only issue was the bed was a little too firm for me and my boyfriend, but next time we'll just bring a mattress topper. Clint was awesome in responding immediately when we accidentally blew out the pilot light on the fireplace. After being in this cute, cozy cabin I can't imagine staying in a hotel ever again. We will definitely be renting this cabin next time we go to Cherokee, NC. THANK YOU, CLINT!! :)
Nice little log cabin. Great location. Go fishing in the back yard. Relax on the back porch. Minutes to casino & restaurants. Peacful quiet surroundings.
We came up for the Red Clay Stray concert at the casino. The cabin was perfect for our trip, close to the casino and beautiful little cabin to rest in.
When we got there, there wasn’t any toilet paper? We did bring our own thank goodness, but it would’ve been nice to have a couple of rolls when we got there.
Clint's cabin was perfect for our family of 3. It had everything we needed and was in the perfect location. Only thing that might have been helpful would have been more towels and rags in the bathroom and kitchen. We had 1 towel and rag per person for 5 nights and only 1 dish rag and dish towel in the kitchen for the 5 day stay, but we made it work with no problem. The cabin was spotless when we arrived. The elk in the evening across the street in the field were a wonderful surprise. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning when we can.
I planned a three day fly fishing trip to Cherokee, NC, and the Appaloosa One Cabin was a perfect fit overlooking the banks of the Oconaluftee River. The cabin was as described, clean, easy to find, and well equipped. Clint was a super host, very attentive, and check in/out was easy. I will definitely plan another stay in the near future.
My family and I absolutely LOVED staying here! Such a great location, 5 minutes away from everything and yet secluded within a quite area. Because of Helene we didn't have wifi or cell service for the first few days, but it made it nice to be disconnected for a while. Clint the owner was still able to get into contact us when we would be between service and made sure we had everything we needed, also there is a huge DVD collection that we had to occupy us as well as the beautiful river that you can see from the back porch. We also utilized the fully stocked kitchen multiple times and enjoyed thoroughly! The only thing that people should be aware of is yes you have access to the river, and it is a pretty steep climb back up, but it is doable and watched my Husband with full fishing gear do it multiple times. Overall, we will most likely not stay anywhere else because of the amazing experience we had here and cannot wait to return. We RECOMMEND everyone to stay here and no doubt that you will enjoy it as much as our family did!
This is one of the best cabin we have stayed in . Clean and comfortable just like the add stated. Owner was very nice and we will definitely stay he again. I highly recommend this cabin.
I loved this place at first sight. Impeccably clean, had everything I needed (including matches, because “someone” forgot a lighter!).
Bed was SUPER comfy. Back porch is divine. Easy walk down a trail to the river. I could have lived down there. Osprey and elk were seen, I’m told there are also foxes and other wild creatures.
