The teens and little ones loved the creek. It was perfect for what we needed. We did stay gone most of the day time doing activities in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Thank you sooo much for taking care of my home. I can't say enough. 3 thumbs up. Please come and see us again.
It is homey the minute you walk in. Already being use to well water was definitely a plus. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return during future vacations.

Thank you Hannah, I look forward to your stay again.
Please was just as advertised. Check in process was very easy. Glad we stayed here although it was a little further from Pigeon Forge than I initially thought it was nice to get away from the tourist area in the evenings. We did not really get outside much to enjoy the large yard since we were pretty busy during the day doing the tourist activities - but if you just wanted to relax and unwind the yard and creek are good for that. .
Im not one to complain....... the property has potential but needs lots of work!!! No central heat/air and it was cold, in the 20's. Had to run little electric heaters and that's a little scary but worked out. The house was tidy but tons of work needs done. The furniture, carpets we're really worn and soiled. The extra covers were literally crammed in the closet floors. Tried reaching the host about the heat but never got any response so I figured there was no sense in voicing any of my other concerns. We made due with what we had and still enjoyed our trip. Oh..... one more thing, the rugs were unreal!!! I've never tripped and fell so many times!!! So so so many rugs overlapping each other!!! Anyways, sometimes you just have to roll with what you got and we did just that.

Ashley, it just wanted to thank you for your Awesome review. THANK YOU, for letting your dog tear up the loveseat. Had to buy a new one. Thanks for leaving piece of a carrier in the yard. It must've broke and you locked you poor dog up in the backroom and let him/ her pee on everything. Thank you, for your very much false review. Most places don't offer the things I give to my guest and are on 10 acres by themselves which BTW you only rented the house front yard and number site 4 creek view with for pit chairs. All for 1125.00 a night. Bext time go to echo lodge.
Relaxing and beautiful just like Grandma's place ♥️
This was just like going to Grandma's house. Melinda is super nice and tries her best to help in anyway she can. When I reached out to her she got back to me within a few minutes or so. It was a very nice place to stay. I loved that it was so quiet also. My husband and I took our 3 grandchildren with us for family vacation. We will definitely be going back. Thank you so much Melinda.
If you are looking for seclusion, this is the place! There is literally no one around. It was a great way to get away, relax and enjoy ourselves. We didn’t get to spend a ton of time down at the creek because we had a lot of things planned for our trip, but it’s a great spot. Everything was as stated in the photos. We had no problem communicating with Melinda when needed, she was great! We will be back for sure!

Grass was overgrown and towels were left to spoil in the washing machine
I had messaged a timeframe with the owner when we would arrive, pleasantly she was there to greet us as she stays on the property in a camper, which didn’t bother me in the least because I knew if I needed something, I would get to her easily. The house was very clean and organized, she showed us how to use the portable heaters, made sure we knew where the basket of coupons were for around Gatlinburg. She was very welcoming and friendly, the property was off a somewhat secluded road but we never heard a vehicle pass. My family and I walked around the entire property and to the creek, it was a great vacation. Only 30/40 min to Gatlinburg, and a hour and 15min to Cades Cove.
Definitely will stay again!
Well the carpet was filthy there was mildew on the AC units, shower curtain, on walls we was told there was a place for eight people to sleep that was not true, furniture was in bad shape. The only good thing about it was visiting with my family. To tell you the truth I will never rent a place under this woman's name again . Oh and don't forget the roaches and mice

Sheryl your just leaving a review because you think I am.
I wouldn't rent to you again.
The beds are 3 queen, 1 large single. 2 air mattresses, 2 couches 1 that don't recline the other one has 2 seats that recline. All the pictures are accurate. No bugs either and no mice. First thing Sunday morning after you arrived on Saturday night. You called me said you had 600 bucks of groceries. I told you if ots packed full and the dial was on 4 when it goes to 9. You upped the temp all was good but I sent you 2 bags of ice and a cooler. You didn't want the cooler at 11 am. Then you said a mouse was eating your food. I sent my bug man out he put out traps outside but you didn't want him too. I had the house spayed the day before you came they do every month and come out for free if a bug seen. You also, cussed me on the phone so I just text you after that. Then you wanted to know who's gonna pick up garbage. In the description it says there are plenty of garbage ect but if you have a long stay you are responsible for you until the day you leave then my cleaner will get the rest when she cleans. The dump is 1.8 miles down the road. You had the whole 10 acres, 5 camp sites to grill play ect. Volleyball, fishing. It also says in the description that says if your looking a McDonald's across the street this place is not for you.
Meaning no concierge, room service, no front desk. Thats why I leave all the amenities I do.. Its super sad that you found no pleasure from your trip.. You complained I jumped thru hoops to help and all the findings was you are the problem. I don't think you would be happy anywhere. PLEASE READ The description. Its exactly the way it is. I the pictures and my cleaners time stamp. I save all text. Where's are the pictures of these things you said you saw. I sorry your so miserable I hope it gets better soon. But read the description. God bless.
The picture are not up to date. There a lot of work needed to property. We found sock under edge of bed and someone short in dryyer. And the host message me at 2 in the morning with a screen shot of back of home telling us to be appropriate. And my husband is form police officer. What she did was not legal and inappropriate. We where all in bed. It show on the website as she has wildlife cam but that not a wildlife cam point at the back of house and 2 on the flag pole. If you going to have camera just say so and you dont have to send messages like a threat. I have stayed in pleaty of rental that has camera and i understand why cause the world today. But not once been massage by host at all especially nit at 2 in the morning. I will not rent again. This is bad business.

Rundown
Property is rundown, the grass had not been cut, in the back of the trailer, the gutter was hanging off to the ground. No water pressure, couldn't take a bath in the large tub because of the water pressure. The couch had patches on it covering the holes. Very dissapointing. It was a good location for our 3 dogs, didn't have to worry about them getting into traffic. Also, there is no driveway. You drive through grass and large holes to get to the trailer.
We stayed at this property this week. Today is Jan. 31, 2022. I was concerned because one of the recent reviews said there were roaches and mice. This is absolutely untrue. We free feed to very large dogs so there were 2 bowls of dog food sitting out at all times. We never even saw a trace of pests. The host Melinda was so gracious and kind. Always had an immediate response when I contacted her. She was very accurate in her description. It’s about 17 miles to PF but we preferred that. Lots of property for dogs or children to run and play. I will definitely be back.
We did not stay at this property. I walked in and turned on the light and a roach ran across the table. I immediately left and contacted the owner within 5 minutes. She said she had just sprayed for roaches on Friday. I should of been informed of this before I drove 8 hours. I kept pictures of the roach and her response in case I need to seek legal action. She ask me to reconsider because it was only a roach. I was not risking taking them home with me. She has refused to give me a refund. I had to drive around for 2 hours and spend money on a hotel. I also had to throw groceries out that I could not refrigerate or cook. Then spend money eating out everyday. I have contacted VRBO and am still waiting to hear from them.

I wouldnt even respond to this if vrbo didn't tell me too. Ridiculous!
You didn't get a refund and vrbo isn't giving you a refund. It was proven there were no bugs or evidence of bugs. Yes, I do have it sprayed once a month by professionals and their bug spray is non-toxic to humans and pets. This is a typical practice that over nite rentals take to protect their home and guest. It was spray 4 days before you arrived. This is not something I should have to disclose to you it should be assumed. Although have have put in the description and if they don't wont to stay where pet control sprays monthly then they can book elsewhere but I'm not changing anything

Our first VRBO booking, must do more research next time!!
Creek Haven, let me start by saying the owner was very nice & helpful and she offers things at the home that many other places do not, like coffee and filters, paper towels etc...at most places you have to pack your own stuff like that.
The home is clean and tidy.
So the description of the place is accurate except, it doesn’t state that the smell of the water might be offensive to some people, it smells like rotten eggs, and has a strong sulfur smell, and the smell lingers through out the home along with the smell of cigarette smoke, in fact it says this is a non smoking resident but someone has been in there smoking. Also the brita pitcher had no filter in it for drinking water.
So if your someone who isn’t bothered by ingesting or bathing in water that smells like that then I guess this places will work for you.
Unfortunately we lost the money We paid to stay there, she even kept the cleaning fee, even tho she didn’t have to clean up after us, “let me just state I didn’t expect to get a refund on the rental”. So we found another place more comfortable for my family to stay at. If it weren’t for the issues that I stated we would have stayed, It seemed to me that the owner took us not staying there personally, I assure you it was not personal against her.

The description was 100 percent accurate. It says well water smells like rotten eggs. It is sulfur gas in the water and not harmful. I have diffusers and essential oils. Also, i had gallons of unopened water for them, fresh bagged ice, sweet tea and lemonade. I showed quest around and was 100 feet away when they decided to leave and not inform me of their reasons. When i left them after showing them around they were happy.
She had alternative or say back up reservations somewhere else. It is peek season so i feel something opened up somewhere else.
I can't be responsible for someone's indecisiveness. All the info was there when she booked all in black and white. She smiled and said thank you. Even after she left she said thank you for the nice, clean place but they decided to go with other arrangements they had made prior. She notified me saying, she wanted cleaning fee back, which in contract states is non refundable. She asked for a refund because of other arrangements she had made prior.
Then she demanded a refund or to give me a bad review. I was floored and told her i don't jump on command of threats.
I spoke with her many times before her arrival. Sent her more info than i have in the listing. Idk what else i could've done. I can't pay for peoples indecisiveness especially when they don't read the description, smile at and say thank you.
I honestly feel Cathy wanted to stay but her kids wanted a waterpark slide hotel. I think she booked with me with hopes her kids would embrace nature but when something else opened up she took it. I can't see how or why this is my fault.
If you’re looking for a true getaway, this is your place. This isn’t a touristy cabin in the center of Sevierville, this is a cute house 30 minutes outside of the main part of town. The closest store is a Dollar General about 20 minutes away, and Walmart is about 30... however, my partner and I LOVED it. We wanted a weekend getaway from all of the stress and noise of the city we live in. We both grew up in rural towns of Tennessee and Arkansas, so when we arrived here we were immediately met with nostalgia. We kept saying “it’s like my grandma’s house!” over and over. A very comfy house. There’s three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full living room and kitchen. Tv’s in every bedroom. We were alone the whole time, so it was truly secluded, minus the stray car driving by every now and then (not often). We grabbed groceries our first night in, and stayed here and cooked the whole time. We read books and drank coffee on the front porch, relaxed in the jacuzzi tub, and walked down the creek. The house does run on well water, so if you’re not used to it, it just takes a minute to get used to. We were both used to well water from our childhoods, so it was also kind of nostalgic to have it again. It’s safe for you to drink and bathe in, but we did grab a few gallons of water from the store to drink. :)
All in all, a wonderful and relaxing stay that we will have to do again!

Thank you so much for your accurate review. I appreciate it so much and please come back again and stay.
We rented this home to have a nice quiet, secluded, country Father’s Day weekend with our two small children. When we arrived at the property, we immediately noticed tents setup in the “backyard”, as well as some campers, a broken down truck, and an RV. The homeowner (Melinda) was present and mowing the grass on a riding lawnmower. We began unpacking when she let herself into the house. She said she had to get her clothes out of the dryer, and that she would be staying in the camper behind the house. Instantly, we could tell that she was impaired. We asked about the tents, and she let us know that she had multiple people camping on the property, but didn’t know how many. The description of the property stated that the guest would have the entire 9 acres to explore. No where did it say that the would be people camping around us. When we told Melinda that we were not ok with that, she got belligerent and told us she wanted us to leave. Then she got back on her riding mower and began driving it erratically. We were glad to pack up and go; there is no cell service at the property and we were concerned we wouldn’t be able to call for help should things escalate. We called HomeAway and they let us know that the homeowner is not allowed to have other guests on the property unless you’re notified, including the homeowner herself. A further google search of the address brings up multiple listings for campsites on various websites.
If you don’t mind sharing the space with strangers, then this is the place for you. If you’re looking for a quiet weekend with your family, stay somewhere else.

When you arrived, I was mowing 10 acres of grass and was half done. The house was clean and ready and you seemed very happy. On the listing it states that there will be people about doing mantiance. I was the only one doing mantiance. I had the house spotless and half the 10 acres mowed.
As I was leaving for you to bring in your things. I told you I'd be mowing or in the white camper. I told you we only had 2 campers that weekend.
You asked me how'd long I'd be mowing, I said the rest of the day and maybe also in the morning.
You got very upset and said you rented it to be all by yourself.
I told you the listing doesn't say you rent the house and the whole 10 acres for yourself. I did not have to give you a refund. You said, it wasn't exceptable. I asked you what you wanted to do?
Me Kelsey said he wanted a refund and bullyingly wouldn't leave my leave my side and had to watch me do it from my phone. I didn't have to give a refund if you don't read the description.
I only have 3 campsites and the house on 10 acres all creek frontage. There's also, 8 cut out spots as big as a house with grills chairs, tables, garbage cans, tiki torches, sitting and picnic areas all by the creek for guest to use. It's a big property.
I have a white camper I stay in when I come to cut grass which takes more than 1 day to fo, and to do matanicece on the house. I go back and forth from TN to SC.
My personal feeling is you really need to read the listing. 2 it's not good to bully people, I was there alone. 3 you got a full refund and yes I have your text. 4 hopefully you will find a house and 10 acres to roam with all the things provided all to yourself. 5 I don't know how you were even able or allowed to leave a review when you were there for not 5 mins. And you got a full refund. Good luck to ya. Happy safe travels.
So, yes guest are free to roam the

Country home vs old & run down home
When we opened door it smelled of bug spray. We saw several in kitchen especially when turning on oven- the heat brought them out. Rained 2nd nite there- roof leaked in master bedroom over garden tub and porch roof at door. One of the chairs at table was coming apart and we were afraid to sit in. A/C unit or roof over it leaked also. Rug in front of it was soaking wet and floor under rug showed signs of long term leaking. Property more remote than expected and very long gravel drive barely visible. We enjoyed our visit to the area but not the house.
