Classic Maine camp/cabin. Old but clean, simple and inviting. Enjoyed fishing off the dock, where we caught a dozen bluegill, and rowboat on the lake for small mouth bass. An oar broke, and the launch was challenging on big boulders (no beach). But water access from the dock ladder was easy. On Beautiful beaver cove. Close to Belgrade Lakes. Hiking trails. Our dogs and teenage boys loved it.
This property was so peaceful and quiet. It sits on a large lot with lots of privacy. The walk down to the dock is fun for kids, lots of rocks and it’s a little trail. We spent most of our time down at the dock. The views were spectacular, beautiful reflections in the water each morning, calm quiet lake and the sunset right in front of us each night. It wasn’t buggy and we used the kayak, but wear water shorts bc it does take in some water. We also brought our own paddle board and would highly recommend doing that and/or bringing your own kayak. The camp was easy to find, one of the first camps off the camp road. Really close to Main Street where the infamous Day’s Store, Village Inn, Sunset Grill and Village Inn are. Day’s is a must stop for donuts! About a 5 min drive from the camp. The camp itself was super clean. We saw no evidence of mice or bugs which is unheard of for camps! The beds were comfortable and even though there is no AC with windows and fans it was ok sleeping on humid nights. The kitchen had everything stocked. The shower is small, but good water pressure and hot water! The deck and fire pits were really nice to hang away from the sun. We had s’mores and sparklers a few times!
