The condo was clean, nice, and overall a great place to stay. My only regret is not realizing ahead of time that it did not have air conditioning. To be fair, this was included in the description, although it may not have been prominently displayed. The nice island breeze helped keep things comfortable, though.The only other downside was the condo next door being under renovation. Listening to power tools during the day wasn’t exactly what I had in mind while relaxing in Maui!Overall, it was a nice place, and we enjoyed our stay. Just be sure to note the lack of A/C and the possibility of nearby construction before booking.

No AC, it was very hot at night for sleeping. We got 1 of the 3 units in all the 5 stories of condos at the Royal Mauian that did not have AC! Ugggg, It was painful at night. Location of the condo was great, but do not rent a condo without AC. Major bummer.

As noted in the listing, this particular condo offers an open air island experience with large windows, ceiling fans, stand up fans, and cooling trade winds instead of air conditioning. While many guests enjoy this authentic tropical style of living, we recognize it may not be the right fit for everyone. Room was clean and well decorated. It was furnished with almost everything we needed. There were plenty of dishes, laundry supplies, etc. The fans provided were not that great and, since the entire unit isn’t air conditioned, we ended up buying three fans and leaving for the next guests. Also, there was only one hair dryer with one setting-hot. Without AC, it was just too hot to use. So we went and bought one and left it for the next guests too. The pool is nice but the ocean is right there! And the view is spectacular!!! Snorkeling right in front of the condo is excellent-no need to drive anywhere. We snorkeled every morning just about before our other excursions. It was fantastic. Highly recommend the Kihei area for sure!!!
