This is a very large beautiful home. This was our 2nd stay and we hope to return again soon. Very responsive host. Wonderful location!

Could be aired out… very musty smelling. Fix what’s broken. (Shutters, sink in bathroom by front door leaks, kitchen drawer handles either missing or broken, water leak spot on ceiling in dining room, etc). Very dusty. The beds were clean but the sheets were obviously left in the dryer for a couple of days (very wrinkled). The whole house needs to be repaired and cleaned.

It was pretty clean for an old home, however, in our brief stay, we had huge roaches in the kitchen area. We used plastic ware, paper plates we had brought as well as our own coffee maker, so we can’t address that. The pink bathroom sink faucet wouldn’t completely turn off; the commode ran about every 8-10 seconds 24-hrs a day; there was no wifi, no TV to check weather when there were storms coming in. Because of no wifi, we never were able to reach the owner or caretaker, but left a note regarding not having instructions about towels-linens-trash when we were leaving and what needed attention. The carpet in the pink bedroom needs to be replaced, the shutters are broken or need attention. It really should not have been rented out until all those things were addressed, but we stayed because it was non-refundable and we were unable to find other accommodations on short notice. The home is centrally located. This may all sound harsh, but the owners need to understand renters’ expectations. It can be a lovely home to rent if they fix it up some and clean up the yard.

It was overall a very difficult stay as the wifi didn't work, we had to go around with tissue to pick up dead bugs off of the ground, the house needs lots and lots of updates, the ac didn't cool past 77 degrees, and I failed to accurately read that there was no washer and dryer and dishwasher so we were expecting those amenities. It also seemed like the outside of the house hadn't been touched in a while with lots of leaves and cigarette butts on the ground and cats running around.

Dead bugs in bathtub, had to buy cleaner to clean. . Hot water didn’t work in the extra bathroom sink.Comode wouldn’t flush. Light in den had electrical short, would work sometimes. Wasn’t informed there was a second rental on property & it was rented. Also no TV . Roof leaked in sun room and lots of dead bugs, needed touch up cleaning . It did have plenty of toilet paper and bath towels. . Communication was great with the host. Wi-Fi problem & she corrected very quickly. Beautiful older home .
