The property was beautiful. I could have spent the entire week exploring the grounds, fishing, and swimming. We had a family reunion with ages ranging from 7 to 70 and everyone loved it. I can’t overstate how perfect everything was. Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this farmhouse north of Selfoss. Plenty of bedrooms and lots of space for our extended family gathering. We loved searching for the horses each day when coming and going and the kids spent so much time in the pool. It was so warm and the great way to end our sightseeing days.
Could not have asked for a more beautiful peaceful place for our family of 8. Location was fantastic for day trips throughout southern Iceland. Selfoss was an easy 25 minutes for groceries. The pool was sublime to come back to in the evening. And the horses were the best welcoming committee ever!

Amazing place for large families
Our family of 14 stayed here for 3 days in late June. The home was very clean and had all of your needs taken care of. Large kitchen and relaxing spaces. The pool was really nice for those cold and rainy days. The house is within 2 hours of everything south and south central. I highly recommend the property
I rented this property for 19 of us, all family, to stay for one week. It was the perfect property for kids of all ages. Although it was remote, there was easy accessibility to Selfoss for groceries, the Golden Circle for sightseeing, the south coast for exploring, and the property itself was perfect for downtime. The pool was luxurious, clean and perfectly heated. The house itself accommodated all 19 of us easily. It was also clean, well appointed and stocked. We had an incredible family reunion, and I am definitely recommending this house to my friends for the future. The owners were lovely and easy to communicate with. And I cannot forget the horses! They were so sweet and fun for our little girls to pet.
Don't let the nine bedrooms discourage you from booking this wonderful farm house. Instead, invite friends and family to fill the rooms! We were first drawn to the private geothermal pool, but were reluctant to book this property for our family of three. Ultimately, we invited family and friends to fill (most of) the rooms and it was the best vacation decision we have made in a long time. The hosts were instantly responsive and courteous from the booking process and throughout our stay. The kitchen is extraordinarily well equipped for cooking large family meals. The location is perfect for day trips to the South Coast and to sites in the North, all roughly within a hour or so by car. We spent the days exploring the Golden Circle only to return to cook and enjoy family meals and float in the geothermal pool while watching the Northern Lights. Book this one to reconnect with family and friends - Wonderful property, location, and hosts - you won't have any regrets.
Our family, kids and grandkids decided to come to Iceland for a unique vacation. We never thought we would find a house large enough for all 17 of us. It is hard to tell from pictures about the size but when we arrived and saw this property and all the amenities they gave us a standing ovation! Large kitchen with dining table, two refrigerators and very well equipped. The living room was very comfortable and big enough for everyone to sit for family time. The bedrooms are very nice and good size the beds and linens are beautiful. Showers and toilets worked out fine. The owner was very responsive when with every question we had. He also put us in contact with an Icelandic chef who came to the house and prepared an Icelandic meal for us explains about traditional Icelandic food and giving us a new modern twist to every dish. Everyone loved, loved feeding the horses every day, we spent more on bread and carrots for them then we did for the family. The geothermal pool was the absolute best, being in the pool in the rain was delightful, we took full advantage of this amenity. Although the farm is isolated it was easy to get to various sites. Sulfoss is
about 15 minutes away and has shops, grocery store, liquor store and some fabulous eating places. Highly recommend Gulfur farm for family vacations.
The pool really makes this property. We spent a lot of time in there. We got to experience the Northern lights one of the nights which was wonderful. Communication with the property owner was easy and prompt.
We had a family reunion at Goltur Farm. The propoerty is amazing, sitting just off a beazutiful lake with an amazing heated pool. We spent hours in the soothing 98 deg F water. The hosts were very helpful and there was everything at the house we needed for meals and communing. It is a beautiful setting with easy access to everything in south Iceland.

Unbelievable property and accommodations, adventurers paradise!
My husband and I rented the farmhouse for a long weekend to have our family join us for our wedding ceremony. The house has everything you could possibly need! The property is absolutely stunning and feels magical being surrounded by so much beauty. The pool is such a great feature we spent so much time in it, especially having kids around they all loved it. The horses were tough to find sometimes but it was so fun to see them when they did make their way towards the fence by the house. We also hired the chef that the home owner recommended and she would get 5 star reviews from everyone! She did a big family style meal on Friday evening and then came back Saturday and did a 4 course dinner for 18 people. I don’t know how she did it but every thing she served was delicious and timed well, we also got some leftovers!
Not to far from shops/grocers and a good location to explore some of the iconic Iceland scenes! Wish I could live at this house :)
