About the host
Hosted by Kim
I'm Kim and would be so happy to welcome you to Venice, Florida. I’m a Michigan native with an unquenchable desire to live near the water's edge and a deep love for connecting people to places that feel like home. After a rewarding NYC business career, I’ve embraced a new pace of life along the Gulf Coast, sharing the beauty and small-town feel of Venice with travelers from near and far.
My husband, Anton, a proud NJ native with family roots in the hills north of Naples, Italy, shares my love of hospitality, great food, and a relaxed, community-driven lifestyle. Together, we’ve created a warm and welcoming space for guests to unwind, explore, and experience everything Venice has to offer.
We chose Venice because it has a spirit we connected with right away: small-town charm, vibrant local culture, and a community that still feels personal. We love the Saturday farmers market, street fairs, Friday night music in the park, the Venice Art Center and biking along the Legacy Trail or wandering Venice Beach at sunset. Life here is unhurried, friendly, and full of meaningful moments—and that’s the feeling we try to share with every guest.
We’re not just offering a place to stay—we’re sharing a lifestyle and a community that we genuinely love. As your hosts, we focus on the details: smooth check-ins, thoughtful touches, and a clean, welcoming space that’s set up for comfort, connection, and ease. Whether you're here to relax, explore, work remotely, attend an equestrian or croquet tournament, or just escape winter, we’re here to make your stay effortless and memorable.
We love meeting new people and helping guests discover the best of Venice. From local recommendations to hidden gems, we’re happy to share what makes this area so special. We’re grateful to host you—and we hope you’ll feel right at home.

Why they chose this property
Welcome to one of Venice’s most distinctive and desirable neighborhoods—Edgewood—where timeless charm and modern coastal living come together. Part of the original John Nolen master plan for the city in the 1920s, Edgewood was thoughtfully designed to house early railroad engineers and city workers, giving it a rich architectural and cultural legacy that still resonates today.
This quiet, tree-lined enclave offers a rare blend of historic character and central convenience. Just a short stroll or bike ride from downtown Venice, guests enjoy easy access to award-winning restaurants, boutiques, the Saturday farmers market, and cultural venues. The neighborhood is also within minutes of Venice Beach, the Legacy Trail, and the scenic Venetian Waterway Park—ideal for sunset walks, morning jogs, or leisurely bike rides.
Unlike newer developments, Edgewood has a genuine sense of place. Each home is unique, the streets are peaceful and walkable, and the community exudes a warm, welcoming vibe. It's a place where neighbors still say hello and life moves at a more thoughtful pace.
For equestrian enthusiasts or competitors, Fox Lea Farm, one of Florida’s premier equestrian showgrounds, is just a short drive away—making this location an excellent home base for multi-day events and tournaments. In addition, just minutes away is the Sarasota County Croquet Club, the largest public croquet facility in the US which hosts a number of tournaments throughout the year. Located at Wellfield Park, this premier venue offers a free introductory clinic to introduce newcomers to the sport. This world-class facility is a unique and unexpected highlight of the Venice area.
Whether you’re in town for a relaxing beach escape, working remotely in a stylish setting, or attending a special event, you’ll appreciate the comfort, location, and laid-back luxury that Edgewood offers. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of Venice, perfectly positioned for both quiet retreat and coastal adventure.
