About this property

ONE OF A KIND vacation rental with a view

Arbor Hill House - Unique A-frame vacation rental perched atop a hill with great views overlooking the Beltline, UW Arboretum and the city of Madison. Excellent central location with easy access to all parts of Madison and surrounding areas. I'll be happy to do whatever I can to make your stay a pleasant one. This is my personal home so please keep things clean and be respectful. This home should not be used for parties or events. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I look forward to sharing my home with you.

(Corona virus concerns? -- I do all the cleaning myself, so I know the place is kept very clean. For example, I use sanitizing wipes on all of the door knobs, light switches and TV remotes throughout the house. I use a fabric disinfectant spay on all the furniture and throw pillows. The towels, sheets and blankets are washed with a sanitizing soap and dried extra long at high heat in the dryer. I have hand sanitizing soap and wipes available for the guests to use. I would argue that my place is one of the best germ-free places you could be).

This house is so fun! Could be considered my dream home. Vaulted ceilings, beautiful windows and a cozy retro feel. It had everything we needed and is located in a great neighborhood!

Sisters get a way

This property was perfect. It was full of character and even had well cared for house plants. Loved that the patio had a ceiling so we could sit there during the rain. All beds were super comfortable. I just can’t think of anything negative!

The cabin was absolutely spotless and well equipped. The owner was an excellent communicator - we did it all by email. The expectations for maintaining and checking out were very reasonable. I recommend this stay to anyone!

Girls weekend getaway

This year we had girls weekend in Madison. We had such a great time and this rental definitely added to it. We enjoyed that it was unique and not your average everyday house. We all slept great and really enjoyed the screened in porch. It was easy to get to State St and hit up the Farmers Market.

Wonderful experience

Beautiful A-frame cottage with a hippie twist. We absolutely adored the place. Very very clean and nicely kept up. The house has a nice little enclosed sunroom with an awesome view. We loved all the live plants throughout the place. Communication with the owner was wonderful and very quick. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Madison.

While visiting family in Madison we stayed at Arbor Hill House and it worked very well for us. The house itself is an interesting mix of modern comfort and great 60s vibe. It was extremely clean and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and, though we didn't cook there, anyone would find it easy to prepare and enjoy meals. The host was very informative and responsive which made using the house a breeze. One caveat: if stairs present a challenge this would not be your choice but we did not find it at all difficult.

House is like a step back in time. 70s A frame with a cool loft. We enjoyed it except for the extremely loud road noise from the deck. We also weren’t aware from the listing that the house is connected to another house, but that never interfered with our stay. Still would be good to have that in the listing. Clean, comfortable home. Host was very responsive.

I have owned what I call the Arbor Hill House for 20 years. I have recently refurbished the interior and have prepared it to be used as a vacation rental. My goal is to turn the home into a very unique and comfortable place for my guest's to use as their home-base when visiting Madison. It will always be a work in progress with the hopes of turning it into the best vacation rental that it can be. I will usually be nearby to help my guest with anything they may need. I'll look forward to hearing any suggestions from my guests about how I can make this a great place to stay.
