The host never sent arrival instructions, which created immediate confusion upon arrival. When we reached the property, it appeared abandoned and had a strong, unpleasant odor—completely inconsistent with what was advertised. It was not a livable or properly maintained space.I had assumed that Vrbo actively verifies listings for quality and accuracy, but that did not seem to be the case here.
