About this property

Furnished in coastal, island style with touches of IKEA and antiques, Key Lime Condo is designed for comfort and is the perfect spot for a vacation get-away. Located in Shorewalk Resort complex which has the largest and best kept pools in the area, Key Lime allows you to relax on the lanai, sipping your morning coffee while you watch herons wading and turtles sunning by the lake, or you could head to the pool for a swim or to the courts for a game of tennis. You can be as laid back or as active as you like.
Key Lime condo has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and antique writing desk for your laptop with an ensuite bath with separate vanity area and stall shower and the other with twin beds and a bath across the hall with tub/shower combination. The eat-in kitchen is well equipped with all sorts of appliances and kitchen gadgets as the owners are enthusiastic cooks. The open living/dining area overlooking the screened lanai is perfect for informal vacation living. The condo contains 1240 square feet of living space.
Our condo is conveniently located close to shopping, including a new Fresh Market with excellent produce, and a movie theater. Just 5 miles west are the beautiful beaches of Anna Maria Island where you can take a walk on the 'sugar sand' beach or swim in the warm, clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Other attractions close by include monuments and museums, an aquarium and theater, nature preserves and a variety of restaurants and shopping opportunities and lots of lots of outdoor sports activities.
A unique aspect of Key Lime Condo is its location in the Shorewalk Resort complex which has so many sports opportunities on site. There are 2 swimming pools one of which has a morning water aerobics class daily which is free and open to all. Both pools are heated to 86 degrees and have adjoining hot tubs. There are tennis courts with balls and racquets provided by signing up in the club house. There is a basketball court and basketballs are also available. Likewise fishing poles so you can try your luck in catching one in the stocked ponds in the 30 acre resort complex.
If you prefer not to drive, Key Lime is a good choice for you. It is close to shopping, restaurants and a movie theater and just a block from the bus that takes you in just 10 minutes to Anna Maria Island. Once on the island you can ride the free all around the island trolley to take you from Coquina Beach in the south up to the City Pier in Anna Maria at the north end of the island, or you can catch a trolley and head south to Longboat Key and St. Armand's Key.

Bradenton Condo

Condo was comfortable and well appointed. The owner was responsive and helpful. I would recommend this condo and complex and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our needs

The owner contacted us immediately and thanked us for choosing thier place. They provided all needed information and check in was just the door code. The rooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space. If we are coming back to this area we would chose them again. A couple of things we hope they update/upgrade would be the showerheads, the couch and the clothes washing machine. All in all, it is worth it to you to at least consider this place.

Jim is a Florida native who vacationed in the Bradenton area as a child. His grandparents built a retirement home on Anna Maria Island in 1941, and his family has enjoyed happy times there ever since. Margaret and Jim met in the third grade, married after college and have three grown children--Graham, Ian and Meg--and 5 grandchildren. Our main residence is in West Chester, Pennsylvania in an 1876 Victorian townhouse. Jim is a mechanical engineer who taught at a community college, and Margaret worked as a school psychologist in an independent school. We have hosted many international students in our home and been involved with exchange programs around the world, especially in Japan and the UK. We retired ten years ago and are enjoying time with family and friends.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property in 2013 because of its excellent location, close to the beaches of Anna Maria Island and all conveniences. We particularly like the Shorewalk complex because of its location, friendly atmosphere and diverse activities, from tennis to basketball and barbecuing to bocce. We also enjoy Shorwalk's international atmosphere and on our recent visit heard French, Spanish, German and Norwegian spoken and also English in its Canadian, American and British forms. Located just one block from a bus line, it is possible to walk to shopping and entertainment and take just a short bus ride to the beach.
Key Lime Condo is located on the ground floor at the end of building so it is light and cheerful. The view from the dining area is of a white bridge crossing the canal and from the lanai you see the lake with its wildlife framed by palms and pines. This is one of the most private locations in Shorewalk and yet close to the activity areas of swimming and tennis.

What makes this property unique

Private location in Shorewalk and excellent privacy within the unit.
Furnished in an elegant yet comfortable style with antiques from Pennsylvania including an oak kitchen table, a mission style sideboard housing the dvd player and cable box, an oak writing desk in the bedroom and art work including and a color copy of a postcard sent to Margaret's grandmother in 1906 by her cousin who was visiting San Francisco. Unique and interesting.
It feels like home with all necessary kitchen appliances, utensils, 2 sets of dishes, many serving plates and dishes, lots of towels, sheets and bed coverings, etc.
The unit has always been maintained and updated with beautiful tile floors and a new kitchen and bath suite in the MBR.
The owners care very much about their property and want you to have a wonderful vacation .
Free morning exercise class in the larger pool at 8:30 am is a great way to start the day.
There is a lending library in the clubhouse--very convenient.
