We had an awesome time. The property was clean and very spacious. We loved being close to the river!! Inside was very comfortable. The host was easy and prompt with communication. We would love to come back next year.
The home is in a perfect location and even nicer in person than the pictures can capture. The kids had a blast floating on the river from one side of the house to the other.
We loved our stay at Trout Hollow! We had everything we needed and the house and property met our expectations. Very clean, organized, and accommodating. Our 60lb German shepherd had plenty of room to stretch out and we weren't on top one another. John answered all our questions and when the wifi went out for a short period of time, we were in constant communication on the status. I appreciated that! The house is in a great location. The setting is very secluded and private. The hot tub was just what we needed after a day of exploring and hiking.I highly recommend Trout Hollow and would not hesitate staying again. It was wonderful for us! Thanks John!
It was as advertised and more John was available to help us out with anything that we needed. The site was very peaceful with wildlife and the sound of running water from both sides. I will definitely be visiting again
Trout Hollow was an incredible place to stay. The pictures on the listing don’t do it justice. The house was clean, had a great layout for our family and had everything we needed. The property is absolutely gorgeous with the river surrounding it and it’s very peaceful. We can say without a doubt this is the nicest place we’ve rented and we travel often. Within the first few hours we all agreed this would be a place we would return to over and over again. Our only gripe is that we didn’t book a full week. We will next time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trout Hollow. The cottage was perfect for our holiday weekend. Great location, peaceful surroundings and wonderful stargazing from the hot tub.We will return in the future.
Lovely cabin. Clean, comfortable, and in a quiet location. Enjoyed our stay immensely. One thing to note - kitchen supplies are very minimal. We stayed a week and ran into a few times that some storage containers, tin foil and/or sandwich bags would have been nice to have to store leftovers. Just a heads up to pack those things if you're staying long enough that you might need them.
As other reviewers have noted, this place is even better in person! The property is very unique in that the river wraps around the entire property so both bedrooms have a view of the river even though they are on opposite sides of the house. What was also impressive is everything about this place is high quality including the furnishings, appliances, TVs, outdoor furniture etc. It has one of the nicest picnic tables I've every seen! The only thing to note is that the kitchen is modestly equipped in terms of dishes and cookware. All the basics are covered for sure but lacks any baking dishes, serving or mixing bowls or any storage containers. Pro tip, the light and vent fan controls for stove are located in an unusual spot on the left hinge of the microwave away from main control panel.
This properties description is understated. I absolutely loved my stay. Location, functionality, comfort, atmosphere are all stellar. Definitely did not want to leave and will without doubt be back. John is a great host, can’t wait for a return visit.
Beautiful place, beautiful scenery! Make sure you pack warm clothes during the winter, one bedroom doesn’t get much heat:)

That bedroom, was shut down during a slow period of. It actually has a second portable heater in it but it was stored. So sorry about that. Wish we had known sooner. Thank you for pointing it out. We need to hear all comments. Thanks
Our host John was very welcoming. The cabin was spotless. The location was amazing. Such a beautiful spot. Not far at all from grocery stores and restaurants in Chums Corners and Kingsley. We will definitely stay again.
This is a beautiful place, clean, private, right on the Bordman river! John was easy to communicate with and very accommodating! Loved every minute there!!
Really good spot. Probably the easiest check in/check out communication process I’ve ever experienced. Place was spotless and everything was new and in great condition. Serene, quiet, not too far from town. Pretty unbeatable.
