This spacious three-bedroom, two-bathroom mountain cottage retreat is nestled in the woods in a relaxing resort community named The Woods. Nicely decorated and comfortably furnished, this is a perfect getaway located just 90 miles from either Washington DC or Baltimore, MD. Offering access to numerous amenities and activities available at the resort and the surrounding area, this retreat strikes the ideal balance between a quiet getaway and an active vacation destination. The resort also boasts several small lakes for fishing and scenic strolls.

The cottage is fully furnished with new bedding and linens, large kitchen/dining area with breakfast bar for three that's perfect for cooking and sharing a meal together and two full updated baths with granite countertops. Two of the three bedrooms have queen beds and third bedroom has a day bed with a trundle bed below. Numerous windows and skylights in the living room provide a bright and airy feel, enhancing the feeling of being surrounded by trees. A nice-sized screen porch provides a comfortable seating area to relax or have a meal, with massive decks on both sides of the home perfect for viewing the abundant wildlife this home site shares. Backing up to the breath-taking 23,000 acre Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management area, which boasts a more than 200 acre lake (approximately 10 mile drive from property), you will always have plenty of room to hike and explore. Awesome creek views can be seen from either deck as well as the screen porch.

Enjoy a memorable time by the outdoor fire pit while roasting marshmallows, take a nap overlooking the many trees and wildlife in your own hammock or cuddle with your sweetheart by the brick fireplace during those cold nights and watch a movie on the large Smart Big Screen TV. Home has both Ethernet and a wireless network for your computing needs. Smart TV allows you to sign into your own Netflix account and others to watch movies. Home has central air and heat allowing you to enjoy those home amenities away from home.

Numerous indoor and outdoor amenities and activities are available for use within the resort, including indoor/outdoor pools and hot-tub, fitness center, tennis, racquetball, volleyball courts and playground. Golf is available, including driving range and club rental. The Clubhouse Grille is located nearby at the Golf Clubhouse. Harpers Ferry, WV, is a top destination for American history buffs, and also offers white water rafting, kayaking and tubing on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. Nearby Fort Frederick is one of the best examples of a frontier fort from the Colonial period. The C&O Canal National Park and the Maryland Rail Trail are only minutes away at Hancock, MD, along with a Potomac River boat launch. Many basic services and conveniences including a large, well-stocked supermarket, full service banking options as well as various convenience stores are within a 10 minute drive in the heart of the town of Hedgesville. Hagerstown, MD shopping outlets are approximately 35 minutes away and various shopping destinations including large grocery retailers, home improvement stores and many dining destinations are located at nearby Martinsburg, WV, less than 25 minutes away.
