About the host
Hosted by Frederic WIechmann
I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA in the 50s, the oldest of 3 boys. I had an amazing child hood building forts and taking risks in trees my parents never knew about.
I had two teachers in 9th and 10th grade who I wanted to be like. They inspired me to become a middle school science teacher, my most painful school years. Had dinner with my Biology teacher at my 50th high school reunion and my 9th grade teacher found me on Facebook. He quipped, “I can’t believe you lived your childhood dream of being a teacher when test scores, grades, and class rank, and administration said, ‘no way!’”
I married up in 1971 to discover this cottage has been in her family since 1893. Over the years I kept this one season kit home from falling down when raising a family of three amazing kids.
And my bride would not let it leave the family. We purchased it from the estate and she made some revisions…a four season cottage!
It’s time to share it with others!
Why they chose this property
Family cottage we wanted our kids to have.
What makes this property unique
One of the first cottages on Sand Key, “The Loop.”
