Very clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Actually perfect for our needs. I especially loved having the ability to park right outside our unit and charge our electric vehicle. Kurt and Irene were wonderful hosts, gracious and extremely responsive to any questions, not to mention, took the time to provide a brief but effective orientation to the unit. They and their accommodations definitely made our trip that much more enjoyable!

Noisy
Four nights of road noise. You sleep very close to the Pali Highway which is very busy. It was so bad that we left for a night and did a road trip so we could sleep. It was a cute apartment and the owner obliged us with an early arrival. But the road noise made it impossible to get a good night's sleep or spend restful time during the day.

Excitement !
The Hideaway was newly built on July 2017. Just 1&1/2 years young. A gem of construction that was enjoyed by 56 guests so far. In all fairness, there was one other guest that vacated early. 56 to 2. Not bad odds :) As a host for the last 10 years, I understand that there will be overly sensitive guests. So yes, please do not reserve this beautiful space that is very underpriced ($650,000 renovation)
if sound will be a problem.
It would have been nice for Anne to communicate this to me as I have another space next door that would have pleased her.
Happy New Year to all.
Aloha,
Kurt

Perfect place for a getaway
Kurt and Irene's place was perfect for our one week stay! Kurt and Irene were both friendly and welcoming. Check in was quick and the studio was clean and as described. I especially liked that parking was included! No need to hunt for street parking or pay daily for a garage. The location is great for sightseeing as Waikiki is a 12 min drive away and Kailua is just 20min. Because the house is close to the highway, it does get noisy but it didn't really bother us as we were out most of the day. We would definitely recommend their place to our friends!
