THE VINEYARD HOUSE AT CHATHAM FARM, A RESTORED CA. 1920 FARMHOUSE, OVERLOOKS VINEYARDS, BARNS, WOODS, AND FIELDS.
The Vineyard House is a secluded 2-story home with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The first floor includes a living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, and a utility room with washer/dryer. The second floor includes 3 bedrooms (one King, one Queen, one Twin), a bathroom with an antique tub and sink.

DETAILS
The house overlooks vineyards, barns, woods, and fields with water views of Church Creek a short path/walk through the woods.

RENTAL COST
$220 per night with a 2-night minimum stay. $75 cleaning fee.

AMENITIES
600-thread count European bed linens, top-of-the-line pillow-top mattresses, bath towels, crib and toddler beds available, coffee maker & coffee, 42" television with local channels, wifi throughout the house.

Stunning Setting!

The History of the home is what caught my eye, when I was looking at booking the trip to the Eastern Shore.The pristine setting is one, that makes one want to book again and again!I can’t say anything, but positive things about the entire experience at The Farmhouse at Chatham Vineyards.

This property is remote, quiet, and totally delightful. It sits with a vineyard and winery on one side and a saltwater bay behind. There are several historic outbuildings which make interesting photographic opportunities. The house and grounds were well kept and very clean. There is limited wi-fi and tv which was exactly what we needed. Evenings on the porch were priceless. Visit the Chatham Winery for tastings! The host and staff were friendly and accessible.

Beautiful Winery Visit

This is a wonderful place that is a step back in time. I spent lots summers at my family farm and this was so much like that. Nice front porch overlooking fields with rocking chairs. Very comfortable beds. Just a great experience overall.

Should have booked an extra night!

A quick get away as a present to my daughter friend for her Highschool graduation. Two moms and two teens. Visited the Barrier Island Museum, Historic Cape Charles and the amazing beach at Cape Charles. Bought glass jewelry from the art shop. A beautiful unique piece. And bought Barrier Island Salt, a representation about the ESVA as my souvenir. Will come back! Should have book a third night. Know better now!

Eastern shore fall vacation

This farmhouse and setting is peaceful, quiet, and a perfect spot for a couple or small group. Jon was attentive and gave some great suggestions of local interests. The winery is an added perk. The house was super clean and well stocked with basics. We really enjoyed the history narrative provided by prior residents. It gave us a feel for the past lively family occupying the beautiful land.

conveniently located

We stayed here while we participated in Le Tour De Shore Bike Ride. The house is conveniently located so that we could do day trips to either Cape Charles or Chincoteague without driving too far. The best part was the winery which was ever so conveniently within walking distance. Cheers!

Beautiful peaceful surroundings in a restored 20s house. Step back in time and enjoy life without the hustle and bustle of modern living. We had a lovely few days before continuing on to Washington DC.

Perfect weekend

I stayed there with friends to celebrate a 60th birthday. We’d wanted to stay there for a few years. It did not disappoint. The house is beautiful. The setting is so quiet and peaceful. We loved being so close to the winery. We are already planning our return!

Great Stay!

A good friend and I do “Adventure Days” for our birthdays every year. This year we did a trip. The house was so clean, and had great “vibes”. It was comfortable and so quiet and nice. I wish we’d had more time to do more watery things, but it was a fun time away. The Bay area is a favorite of mine, and this trip was great. The hosts, Jon and Mills were easy to communicate with, and we got to talk to Jon in the winery for quite awhile. So nice! The history of the place is very interesting, and the wine is excellent. I hope I can bring family over sometime. Thank you!

Peaceful and beautiful!

This is my 2nd stay here...it is absolutely beautiful and so quiet. The house is amazing and everyone is so kind. If you want to stay in and enjoy the porch or if u want to take a short ride and visit town its a perfect location.

Lovely farmhouse

This is a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. The beds are very comfortable. The house was very clean. It is a farm house, and part of the charm is the original features (including gorgeous floors). Bathrooms and kitchen are not modern but are clean and functional. Recommend bringing soap and bottled water (unless you are used to well water). Cupboards have some spices and coffee filters. Check out the winery, Seaside Ecotours, the Brownsville Preserve, the Savage Dunes preserve, Cape Charles, Onancock, Great Machipongo Clam Shack, Machipongo Tradng Company, Barrier Island Center. We just loved it here, and hope to come back to stay at Chatham. We also loved meeting Tucker, the farm dog, who came to play one day.
