Great Townhome, minutes from Winter Park Ski Area, and the Fraser Tubing Hill.
This recently remodeled townhome has two cozy bedrooms and a sunlight loft area that can be used as an office, or a sleeping loft. There is a twin trundle in the loft, and it is great for children 6+ years and up. This area is open to the main living area below and is not suitable for children under six.
Every bedroom has a smart TV, as does the living room. The living room faces west and has a fireplace, as well as seating for 6 and a 45” flatscreen television with DVD player.
The beautiful open kitchen is the heart of the home and has a French door refrigerator with bottom freezer, double oven, gas range, microwave, and place settings for six, with matching silver and glassware. This is a well-stocked kitchen with great cookware, an instant pot, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, slow cooker, fondue pot, mixer, and baking pans. We try and keep basic spices available.
The dining area seats 6 around a tavern-height table. There is also a breakfast bar if you want to eat casually at the kitchen counter. There are place-settings for six with matching silver and glassware.
The primary bath has a combo deep soaking tub and shower. The second bath is a 3/4 bath, both baths have heated tile floors. There is a washer/dryer in the primary Winter Park Bedroom. The mudroom entrance is heated and has a bench to take your ski boots off and there are no skis allowed in the house. There is a boot dryer to ensure your boots are always dry and toasty for your day of skiing.
The deck faces west and has a gas grill for year-round cooking. There is off-street parking for up to 2 cars. The bus stop is at the end of the block. Snowplowing is provided in the winter months. Renters may need to shovel the stairs upon arrival, and a snow shovel is provided and available for easy access.

This cabin was exactly what my sister and I wanted - privacy, but not too far from the town. Neighbors very pleasant. Everything worked and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, kitchen wear, etc. we bought a humidifier, but later found the place had one in the dining room. Beds amazing, floor heating in bathroom was nice, and the view of the mountains were so relaxing. If I come back to Winter Park I would definitely stay here again!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I have passed along the "very clean " accolade to our cleaning team. They work very hard to ensure everything is clean!
This property had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. It's a comfortable and welcoming space in a quiet neighborhood - highly recommend for those exploring the area
We had a great stay! Plenty of room for the whole family and pup! Kitchen was well stocked. Just one note: make sure to bring your own firewood for the fireplace.
Took my 2 teens to the mountains for a long weekend - the townhouse was perfect! Clean, plenty of space for 3 of us and a dog. We were close to everything - farthest we traveled was to Grand Lake for fireworks and it was an easy drive.
Thanks for a great getaway!

Stephanie - so happy you enjoyed the townhouse. Hope to see you again this summer!
The home was great huge space for designing a loft was extra cool. The kids loved it the kitchen and all the amenities made things so easy I needed nothing. It was for my two sons, and I. It took us roughly 15 minutes to get to the mountain and a grocery store nearby. It was very clean and we had a wonderful stay.

Well stocked kitchen, good location. Only issue was listing should more clearly state that the 3rd bedroom is a sleeping loft accessible only by a drop down ladder that you must pull down from the ceiling (like an attic access ladder.) This ladder takes up most of the dining area when it is down. Also bed in loft is too short for taller adults.

Kathy, I am so glad you liked the townhouse. So many people like you love the kitchen, as well as the location. It is so convenient for everything the Fraser and Winter Park Valley have to offer. Tubing is close, grocery stores are close, and you can walk to restaurants in Fraser.
I try to be completely transparent in all the sleeping locations in the townhome. The first paragraph of that description says
“two cozy bedrooms and a sunlight loft area that can be used as an office, or a sleeping loft. There is a twin trundle in the loft, and it is great for children 6 years and up. This area is open to the main living area below and is not suitable for children under six. “
I will look at the description again and would welcome any edits that could be more descriptive of the loft space. I have always thought that Twin beds are inherently designed for kids. It was not intended nor is it priced as a three bedroom. In reality, and by design, the loft staircase takes up 18 cubic feet when it is down, so that the dining table and chairs can all be used when it is down. The staircase is designed to be up and tucked away until bedtime. And as our description outlines the loft is for children 6 years and older not for younger kids.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay, and we appreciate your business. We hope that you had a wonderful outdoor experience. The snow has been great all year and it keeps on coming. Thank you -
Place was great for our family and pup. Communication with the host was good. We walked to the bus stop (black line) and skied winter park. Conveniently located & comfy/cozy. We tried to use the boot heater, but it didn’t seem to get warm. I had to pay a 3k deposit for some reason??? Way more than the cost of our stay. It’s a large charge to be carrying on a credit card & I hope it gets returned very soon.

So glad you enjoyed your stay, and found our place cozy and comfy. We do too! It is great that you took advantage of the close proximity to the bus route. A deposit or the purchase of insurance is required, you’re actually the first person I have had that paid a physical deposit vs buying the renter’s insurance. I will follow up with VRBo to ensure this gets returned. Thanks again for your stay

Overall the space was good. The location was reasonably close to everything. There is minimal cell service so the check in code was unavailable - make sure you take note ahead of time. Either cleaners or prior guests moved all of the devices and remotes for the TVs, it was nearly impossible to figure out. We never did have a remote for the main TV. The DVD player only plays DVDs (not blue-ray) so pack accordingly. There was enough space for our three adults and two kids; the loft space may be uncomfortable for two adults.

The Check-in code is sent to all guests two days before arrival by VRBO. I am glad that you had cell service to call VRBO so they could call me about the code. I am glad you liked the location, all of our guest’s have found it convenient. The DVD player is just that, a DVD player. And it is now missing the digital output cord.
Our cleaning team found the Roku remote labeled with location of living room, in the living room upon your check-out. Perhaps when you and your guests re-arranged all the living room furniture, lighting, as well as moving and relocating all the electronics e.g. TV and DVD you misplaced the remote and the digital output cord. This was and is an unwelcome renter experience from the owner’s point of view.
Putting the living room back and ensuring that the DVD player and TV were put back and rewired correctly (save for the digital output cord) took 3 person hours. You moved the coach, area rugs (3), two chairs, coffee table, sofa table, table lamps and standing lamps as well as all the electronics. Again, the remote was there. What is missing is the Roku in the Columbine room as well as the living room Roku. I do not understand why those were taken.
Additionally, you did damage to the ottoman and one club chair as well as the a leg on one of the sofa sections is now loose, all of which will need to be repaired. And finally, you broke a 4-month-old simple human trash can. That is hard to do. All of this and the time to redo the furniture placement as well as the electronics will be billed to you. Kind Regards,
This is a great spot to stay, only 10 minutes from the ski resort, on a quiet street. It has very cozy vibes with the lofted space and fireplace. The kitchen is great to cook in, with nice appliances and pretty much every kitchen tool you might need. There is also a propane grill on the porch which was nice for cooking steaks. Clean and modern bathrooms, one with a great soaking tub. There's a spot for storage off the front door - we put our ski gear there so it wasn't sitting in walkways inside the house. Checking in was very easy and the host was consistently available for any questions. Excellent walking path a block away and hot springs 30 minutes away.
A perfect place to wind down after a long day of skiing! My favorite thing was the super comfortable bed!
This unit was perfect!! We were right across the street from the tubing hill and minutes from Winter Park and Fraser! It was centrally located, had a pickup at the end of the street to get around town and the resorts on the free shuttle system, was pet friendly, had its own private driveway and was overall wonderful!
The “mudroom” with boot/glove heaters was a huge plus!! We turned it on after skiing to dry our boots & in the morning to warm them up before venturing out!
** I will note the loft has a “attic style ladder” to get up there, please take note of this if you are traveling with small kids and plan for them to stay up there. It does however work for a playroom separate from the adults! ****
The home was very spacious, we had room for our family of 5 to relax, eat together, etc. We enjoyed the games they had and the fireplace every night! The neighborhood was awesome to walk our dogs around, everyone was super friendly and the neighborhood was nice to drive around in also! Tons of beautiful homes up the hill!
We have been coming to Winter Park for 6+ years in a row & this is by far our favorite cabin yet because of how close TO EVERYTHING and convenient it is! We will definitely look into booking this unit again in the future! This unit is perfect!
The hosts were great, super responsive and kept in touch leading up to our stay!

Paige than you and thanks for the great review glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you this winter the snow is AWESOME
We had reserved this unit for a spring break ski trip. The Coronavirus struck and the ski resorts shut down. Ann was kind enough to provide a full refund. She went above and beyond and spent an hour on the phone with VRBO to ensure we received all of the money we paid back from them as well. I would highly recommend this owner as she is honest, caring and has high integrity. She made a very bad situation better! Much thanks!!

Poor experience with a disengaged owner
I arrived at the townhouse with my family at 2:00 am, greeted by 2 feet of snow (that fell the day before I might add) that I had to walk through to get to the front door 10 feet away. I informed the owner of this the following morning and got the response, "well we had the driveway plowed".
I wanted to enjoy some TV as the listing said it had cable/satellite. It had neither. There was Roku app but no Roku remote so I informed the owner and was told she had no idea it was missing.
I had told the owner ahead of time that I intended to use the outdoor grill as that was also something listed as an amenity. I asked if there was full propane and told there was. I opened the door to the deck and there was at least three feet of snow. There was never an attempt to remove the snow from the deck so someone could use the grill. The cover to the grill had to be chipped away from the ice holding it down for me to get the cover off. After an hour of shoveling and chipping, I was finally able to use the grill because I made a promise to my family. I tried to use the propane warmer but the tank was empty. I informed the owner of all of this and only got a response of "is the valve turned on".
The sofa sectional was filthy and full of hair so we put blankets on top of the sofa before sitting on it.
For what we paid per night, we expected more. This isn't our first HomeAway, but it was clearly the worst. Property owners that put their properties on this site or others need to do more than list it and forget it and should never be shady and say it has satellite and it isn't hooked up (I took a photo of the dish on the roof, but the cables that go into the home are caped). Anyway, you can do better than staying here for the money. There are better options.

Brent - the TV is internet TV not satellite. And the information in the description is the Internet. The snowplow provider did not plow the driveway and failed to do so, and we got another provider to get that done. My apologies.

Nicely and it appears recently updated home. Comfortably appointed and provisioned
This is a nicely updated duplex unit in Fraser, a roughly 15 minute drive by car from the Winterpark/Mary Jane ski areas. When renting, make sure the owner shares with you the address and lock box entry before you arrive. In our case this wasn't done and we didn't catch that fact until we arrived in Fraser and had to spend quite some time working with VRBO (first a call center and then a more tuned in US representative) and eventually the owner in the L.A. area to find the place and then gain access. This was frustrating as we arrived after dark and it was snowing. Other than this perhaps incidental mishap, we would recommend this home and would rent it again.

Why they chose this property
This location has great access to and from Winter Park or the Mary Jane ski areas. There is a bus stop on the north end of the block so you do not have to drive if you do not want to. You will feel at home in our townhouse.
What makes this property unique
In the winter it is the perfect ski location. There is storage for your skis in a heated 'mudroom' and a boot dryer and accessory storage area - so you can keep your vacation clutter free. Picture window gives a great western view of Byers Peak. And the passive solar is great when you return from a great day on the slopes.
