About this property

Lovely cottage, downtown Bastrop Historic District

Perfect for 2 couples or a small family. Situated in the Downtown Bastrop Historic District, our 100-year-old, 2 bed, 2 bath house has been fully renovated and modernized. Our comfy, pristine weekend home features hardwood floors throughout with generous-sized bedrooms and an open floor plan. In cooler seasons, walk to downtown live music and dining venues, Fisherman's Park or just stroll around town to look at our historic buildings.

The space
Primary bedroom (queen bed) has an ensuite full bath with shower and tub. Guest bedroom (queen bed) features a full bath with shower. Each generous bedroom has a large closet, luggage rack, chair, wood floors, light and bright windows and quality linens. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home (but we recommend you try some of Bastrop's great dining and music venues). Laundry room with washer and dryer is perfect for a long-term stay. Amenities: WiFi, smart TV, linens, towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, soap, blow dryer, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, toaster, gas range and oven, waffle machine, kettle, drip coffee machine, charcoal grill, driveway and street parking. We have a huge lot - great for the kids to play soccer or throw a football. Help yourself to our vegetable garden and nuts from the Pecan trees depending on the season.

Guest access
The historic district is pedestrian-friendly with wide side walks, street lights and nature/walking trails along the river. Our house is in a residential area and street parking is plentiful. CartsNow offers on-demand rides in the downtown and surrounding area. Check the website for details.

Other things to note
The train track goes through the downtown district. The train comes between zero and three times a day - there is no fixed schedule. If you like art, go out front to spy graffiti on wheels. Train watching can be fun for the kids, but know that the horn is loud when the engineer sounds it.
