El Solei is a beautiful villa located in Puig-Surís, in a quiet, safe and sunny neighbourhood with breathtaking mountain views.
It's located only 2 km. from Banyoles lake, 1 km. from the city (where restaurants, banks, supermarkets are found), 13 km. from Natural Park of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone, 37 km. from the magnificent Costa Brava beaches, 27 km. from the Girona International Airport and 117 km. from Barcelona city.

The house is suitable for a group from 6 up to 14 people. It's a spacious house with five bedrooms (one is adapted for handicapped people), three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room - dining room with TV, TV satellite, DVD, central heating, fireplace, wifi access,...
Besides there are four air conditioning machines distributed throughout the house to have a good temperature inside the house in summer.

Outside there is a big garden of 1.000m2 with swings and a slide for children, a climbing wall for children, garden furniture, a large wooden-covered porch with barbecue which is ideal for eating outside all year round, a little wooden house with an inside kitchen for children, an enormous private swimming-pool of 10x5m with saline treatment, a private garage for 2-3 cars and a charging point for electric car.

• WE ARE A BIKE FRIENDLY HOLIDAY HOME: Safe space to store the bicycles, information of bus schedules, bicycle workshop located 4 km. from the house for important repairs, bike rental, inflator pump, bicycle basic repair toolset, possibility of transfers and hire a guide, cycling routes & trips information in Banyoles, Girona and Costa Brava.

• HIKING: The leaving point is El Solei. All the routes ensure a safe exploration of the region. They have trail markers and are organised in a network of loop trails, and hikers can adapt the route or the stages according to their requirements or level of preparation.

• COSTA BRAVA BEACHES: They are located 35 km. from the house. Like a canvas where nature has intended to combine with exquisite delicacy the intense green of the pine groves, the massive steadfastness of the rocks, the softness of the golden sands and the deep, dazzling blue of the sea - that is the Costa Brava. Frommer's Magazine from US and National Geographic have published in October 2011 the Best Destinations of the World for 2012 which are Girona and the Costa Brava.

• SHOPPING IN COSTA BRAVA: As you stroll through the romantic historic quarter of Girona, the capital of the province, why not take advantage to do some shopping in the exclusive luxury boutiques and shops that you come across on your way? Besides, next to the house there are two Shopping Malls or Shopping Centres where you will find all kinds for clothes, jewels, shoes, perfumes and gifts among others.

• SUSTAINABILITY
We are committed to defending the environment and the values of sustainability and responsibility because we know that the future of the Earth depends on our behavior towards it.
For this reason, we have received the Ecostars certification for our firm commitment to ecology and we have adopted the following measures in El Solei:

ENERGY SAVING
- The electrical energy supplied in the house comes from 100% sources of renewable origin.
- The appliances are with energy use A.
- The lighting both inside and outside are made with light bulbs and / or low consumption. In addition, the outdoor bulbs turn off automatically when there is daylight.
- The bedrooms have an automatic intelligent heating or air conditioning switch-off system with the window open. When the window closes, the air conditioning system restarts.
- Installation of 9 solar panels of 410w each for self-consumption.

RECYCLING
- We encourage the selective selection of trash in the following fractions: glass, paper, plastic and organic matter. There are different recycling bins in the kitchen and also in the BBQ.

WATER SAVING
- Shower taps and artichokes have devices for water saving.
- Double discharge toilet cisterns.

SWIMMING-POOL
- The water disinfection system is by a salt chlorinator which means that no chemicals have to be added to the pool water. In addition, it has positive benefits for sensitive skin.

GARDEN
- The garden of the house is a Mediterranean garden with trees and plants adapted to a temperate climate.
- The grass is able to withstand drought well in summer thanks to its root system.
- Automatic watering in the garden to avoid unnecessary water consumption.

SOCIAL POLICY
- We firmly believe in the local products, this is the reason we always try to buy our products from the local shops.
- In order to improve our services, we encourage customers to fill out a valuation survey.
- The house is adapted for people with reduced mobility.
