So lovely to have had a chance to meet you and John when you arrived and thank you for all the kind words. Until our paths meet again, all the best Kurt
The cottage is very cozy and comfortable. It is very cute both inside and outside. The little community in which it is located is very interesting, too. The cottage is well maintained and very clean. There is everything one would need for a stay, including a snug but adequate kitchen. Kurt and his mom are excellent hosts; they made us feel very welcome. Communication was easy. We had a wonderful time.
The hosts are charming and the property is stoked in history. The property is convenient to several nearby towns along the Delaware river. Very nice rustic decor.
The hosts are amazing! Super friendly and I felt so safe traveling solo. It was well below freezing but I was warm and cozy. Having the ac hitting the couch was my favorite spot in the house. I can’t wait to come back in the spring to walk in the canal trail (which is so close to this property).
Eleanor and Kirk made our stay really special. They are warm and generous people who are working hard to maintain and restore a historic village. Not an easy task at anytime.
This charming little cottage is a perfect place to stay. Close to town, walking trails and private

About the host
Hosted by Eleanor Miller
I was an actress in NYC and lived in the "East village". The married my husband and moved to New Hope, Pa. I've been a Real Estate agent for Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty for over 20 years. We bought this little English village property in May of 1995 and just love it here.
Why they chose this property
This property was built to look like its 900 years old. This is where the New Hope Art Colony began in the late 1800's. There is such a vast amount of history here. From Washington crossing the Delaware to the arts, Museums, art galleries, great authors, playwrights, actors... Within 2 miles from here, we have over 60 great restaurants.
