York Street Cottage- 50 Steps to the Beach! OOB, ME

You can't beat this location and this much space for this price!

Welcome to the York Street Cottage. This is the quintessential Old Orchard Beach experience, located literally steps to the beach and a 1/2 mile from the pier!

The cottage is a 3 season house with 4 small bedrooms and roof deck upstairs, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen, living room and sun room downstairs.

This property has been in my family since my grandmother was a little girl, the bedrooms still have original whitewashed bead board walls. While we know this isn't the swankiest house on the block you certainly can't beat the convenience of York Street.

The cottage is nestled between York and Traynor Streets.

Check in time 3pm, check out time 10am, please adhere to these times. We do the changeovers ourselves and appreciate it left tidy.

4 Bedrooms all on the 2nd Floor: 3 have Full Beds, 1 has a Twin Bed and sliding door to rooftop deck.
(1 cot is available downstairs and the sofa)

Linens are provided but please supply your own towels.

Rinnai Heater Unit in the first floor dining area, please note there is no AC, although there are fans available in each room and for the first floor.

PARKING- There are 3 ample, off-street driveway parking spots (4 if you have small cars) on the Traynor Street side of the house. On York Street there is only street parking, if available. Please make sure to read all street signs when not parking in the driveway to avoid a parking ticket.

Please treat the home as if it was your home. This is also a family getaway for our family and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Noise- The town of Old Orchard Beach has an enforced quiet time from 10pm until 7am. Please me mindful of that as the neighbors are close by.

Another Great Trip to OOB

This York Street Cottage was perfect for our group! We loved the short walk to the beach and this area of beach is great for families. We walked down to the pier area easily and enjoyed all the food and fun OOB has to offer! We have stayed for two years now and look forward to returning again next summer!

This rental checked all the boxes. The place was was nicely decorated, roomy and very clean. The roof top deck with the ocean view was a huge. Also it was so close to the beach you could hear the waves at night. I hope to stay there again someday.

We had another great stay at the York Street Cottage! The beach is super close and we enjoyed spending each day there with the kids. This area of beach is much quieter and kid friendly. We walked down to the pier and rides almost every evening and the walk only takes about 10 minutes. The cottage had everything you would need, very well stocked with all kitchen essentials. We loved sitting out on the deck after a long day. The rooms are very small but they fit our needs. I would definitely stay here again!

Location, Location, Location

You can't beat the location. It is in a quiet part of town steps from the beach and a short walk to the pier. The deck on the second floor was perfect for a game of cards, reading a book or having an evening drink. It is a compact house but we had plenty of room. The kitchen was well appointed. Love the washer and dryer. We had a couple of issues during our stay but Audrey, the owner, was very responsive and resolved them quickly. The one thing I would point out is that a couple of the floors in different rooms are different heights, this may be a concern if there are elderly people in your party. We loved our stay!

Perfect beach house

This beach house was perfect for our 2 families of 4. The rooms were comfortable, the living area had plenty of space, kitchen was well equipped, and the 2nd floor patio was a nice spot for the adults to escape. The location to beach couldn’t be much better, only a few steps away. The walk to the pier was a modest 10 minute walk. We will definitely consider renting this property again next year.

This was the perfect space for our family. We have vacationed annually to Old Orchard for the last 7 years and this is by the far the best place we have ever stated. You can’t beat the proximity to the beach, pier, ample parking, roof deck and well laid out home. It’s rare to find something close enough to the beach that comfortably houses 8 full adults with parking! This house exceeded all our expectations and past experiences!

Old orchard trip

The rental was very clean upon arrival. It did get very warm in the rental and two of the fans are not working. Also there is a little threshold to go into the kitchen that is not marked with anything so we tripped a few times. And there’s also one in the living room/sunroom that was also a tripping hazard. Other than that it was an excellent trip and we would definitely rent the property again!

Séjour en famille inoubliable.

Très belle petite maison coquette et au goût du Maine. Facilité d'acces et près de la plage comme nous le voulions avec nos 5 enfants. Tout est à portée de main. Le prix est quand même cher pour la qualité selon notre évaluation mais tout est comparable à Old Orchard Beach! On va garder cette place dans notre mémoire pour de futures vacances en famille.

Great beach cottage

The property was a quintessential beach cottage with a view of the water and great deck. We really enjoyed our stay. There were four adults and two small children and we had more than enough space. The owner communicated well. I would definitely recommend this property.
