About this property

Log Home in Beautiful Country Setting.

We are on 18 acres with a private airstrip, a forest and a creek located in Western Washington a few miles west of Lynden, 16 miles to the Bellingham airport and 5 miles to the Canadian border.

We offer one bedroom, we call it the Tiger Moth Room after one of our airplanes. It is located on the second story of our house. The room is 250 square feet and has a private full bath and a sitting area where you can read or use your laptop. It has a king sized bed and views of the forest and raspberry fields. The bathroom has a claw foot slipper tub and radiant floor heating.
There is a walk in closet with extra towels and bed linens. Also coffee and tea supplies.

Owner profile:
Both my husband and I love the outdoors and spend a lot of time working on our property. I grow most of our vegetables and what I don't grow I buy at the local Bellingham Farmers Market. I believe growing organic and supporting our local farmers market. I also grow blueberries, strawberries, goji berries and dahlias. My husband is a retired 737 Captain and a private pilot. We enjoy evening flights or a drive to the beach to watch the sunset after a day of work. We also work at the Bellingham Farmers Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the spring and summer months.
We enjoy interaction with our guests but will respect your privacy if you prefer. We are available to recommend restaurants and area attractions.

It was a happy 4th of July

This was a last-minute getaway for us and we had a lovely time. The raspberries were ripe for the picking, we drove up to Mt. Baker and had our first July 4th in cold weather and snow. Lyden is a charming town and we enjoyed our conversations with our hosts.

Rick and Cathie-Ann were absolutely wonderful hosts—so warm and welcoming. Their property is stunning, with a spacious, peaceful room featuring a comfortable king-sized bed and a lovely peek-a-boo view of Mount Baker through the trees. We loved sitting out on the porch as my husband played his guitar under the star-lit sky—pure magic! Rick and Cathie-Ann also shared great local tips for dining in Lynden. We tried The Dutch Treat Restaurant downtown that had fresh blueberry pancakes that covered the entire plate. It was absolutely delicious. We’d definitely stay here again—highly recommend!

Absolutely Perfect!!!

We had the best stay here, the hosts were very welcoming and had a good knowledge of the area with lots of recommendations. The room was much bigger than expected and the bed was SO comfortable! Beautiful place and setting

Only glitch in our stay was their well’s pump burned up and we had no water. If we had stayed more than one night it would have been a problem. Not taking stars off because it wasn’t in their control, just bad timing.

Country Hospitality & Charm

My sister and I had the pleasure staying at this beautiful family log cabin home over Labor Day weekend. Not only were we welcomed in like family, we also had the honor of meeting their extended family on their vacation! We had such a good time at a local Dahlia Farm for a special event and Cathie-Ann gave us a great tip for breakfast in Lynden. Loved, loved, loved our stay here and will be back again!
