About this property
Cozy, welcoming, 3-bedroom cabin abutting the Green Mountain National Forest!
Your cozy getaway awaits in Woodford at this fabulous cabin. This newly built cabin in the woods is
nestled on 5 acres and a great spot to gather with family or friends as you explore all VT has to offer! Woodford has been described by the locals as “Narnia” in wintertime, and you can fully explore all its beauty on the VAST trail system - which is accessible from our location!! Just jump on your sleds and go!! Prospect Mountain is 5 minutes down the road, if cross country skiing is your passion, and Mt Snow is 24 minutes away for all the down hill skiers!
The cabin is centrally located off Rte 9 approx. 17 minutes (westbound) from Wilmington and 15mins (eastbound) from Bennington. Both towns offer an assortment of restaurants, breweries, bakeries, shopping, art, and more!!
If you’re a hiker there are trails within walking distance from the cabin, and Woodford State Park is 5mins away which offers a public beach, kayak, and paddle boat rentals. If you’re a fisherman, or being on the water is what calls you - Harriman Reservoir is about 17 mins away. Also known as Lake Whitingham, it’s 9 miles long and a great spot to rent a kayak, SUP, or pontoon boat for the day!
The cabin offers 3 queen beds and 1 twin bed spread across 3 bedrooms, this tremendous property offers a welcoming atmosphere for guests. We have a fully stocked kitchen, with 2 Keurig’s (one in the upstairs Master suite), gas stove, pancake griddle, waffle maker, crock pot, dinnerware, glasses, silverware, etc. There is a full bathroom on the first floor with a bathtub/shower, as well as a half bath for your convenience. The Master suite on the second floor also offers a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. Smart TV’s are available in the living room and master suite for any streaming services you’d like to log into for your entertainment.
Outside we offer a wrap-around covered porch with 6 Adirondack chairs to sit and relax after a fun-filled day exploring, shopping, or adventuring! We also offer a gas grill, firepit and burn barrel for outdoor burning.
*A pellet stove is available for experienced users.*
Our place is equipped for both long or short stays to make your holiday one to remember.
