Great Location!

Home away from home

I stayed in Dora’s condo for ca. 3 months during a short professional stint in La Jolla. The condo was spotless and in excellent condition. I enjoy cooking and most things were there, including a set of sharp knives. I added - and left a few extra things in the condo, such as a simple blender, an ironing board and steam iron. I really enjoyed the amenities: the aircon was very effective, the washer and dryer really fast and efficient, the internet connection speedy. The interactions with Dora were super quick and she gave me the sense that she genuinely cares about her guests. I was really touched that she had provided me with plates of fresh fruit when i first arrived and again little things were so helpful: there were dish washer tablets, washing up liquid, kitchen towels, bathroom and cleaning supplies, enough towels ecc. This stand out as special in my experience with holiday rentals. I has little contact with the neighbours except for a polite node of the head and ‘have a nice day’. The area was quiet also; perhaps the only down side is that the flats opposite are very close snd one opens the curtains one is almost in the balcony opposite. The condo lies in a complex like many others in La Jolla - carefully groomed and with a nice pool. Overall: the flat was a good choice, i enjoyed my time there and I recommend it without reservations.

The unit was clean and tidy .Dora the property manager was welcoming and provided all what we needed in the unit during our stay. The unit had 15 steps to enter the unit. The heating unit did not work from the first day and the bathroom did not work properly. The manager provided us with a portable electric heater then fixed the unit after one week. The toilet also get flooded and the manager fixed it immediately. So far we have not received our $500 deposit from the owner. My overall impression that the unit it now is in excellent condition after the needed repairs.

Thank you Dr. for staying in our place and the feedback. We were not aware of the heater issue as it has not been heavily used in the past, but we were glad to fix it per your request. However we are pretty sure that the toilet there was fully functional, and the bathroom water damage was caused by reckless use of the toilet, on the 15th day of your family staying there. Since you have purchased the home protection insurance, we do hope you can explain this to the insurance company correctly so they can re-imburse the repair costs/expenses we paid due to the damages during your rental period. Otherwise we will have to use your deposit to cover part of our repair costs / expenses, we feel sorry for any inconvenience to both of us, and thanks for understanding.

Vary impressive location and neat home

It is a newer apartment in a great location. Landlord makes the house very welcoming and prepared enough daily use goods. Open and pleasant floor plan, private garage, balcony, and walk-in closet.....close to restaurant and convenient to get to freeway. This house, itself, is way better than the pictures on ads. Very happy 4 weeks stay.

Perfect place for rest and relaxation!

We were very delighted to find this gem minutes away from the beach. My family needed a place to help my father recuperate from a medical procedure, and this place was perfect for rest, recovery, and relaxation. I would definitely recommend it for a weekend get away as it is a few miles away from the beach!
