Villa Sunset sits atop a private lush hillside bordered with natural sugar cane overlooking palm lined white sand beaches, turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea and the headlands to Five Islands Bay. With its elevated location, feel the cool trade winds flow through the Villa as you enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views that stretch across Jolly Harbour and to the islands beyond: Montserrat, Nevis, St. Kitts, and Redonda sit on the horizon like jewels in the glistening sea. To the east lie the unspoiled forested hills and valleys of Antigua’s striking coastal highlands. There is minor construction in Sugar Ridge so you may save!!

The Villa boasts three equally spacious private suites that have been decorated magnificently, each with spectacular views of the ocean. Each bedroom has their very own luxurious limestone bathroom double vanity bathroom with spa-like full body showers.

The gorgeous airy and open living area is equipped with state of the art technology and amenities. The designer kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and a breakfast bar. The indoor living area leads out to the verandas, which offers comfortable shaded seating to take in the fabulous views or catch some Caribbean rays in any of the four sun loungers lining the refreshing infinity pool. A Perfect Vacation

Villa Sunset lived up to all our expectations, and then some! The villa itself is beautifully appointed and all ameneties, fixtures and fittings are a very high standard. And the there is THAT view, which when you sit on the veranda with a cold drink and enjoy the sunset then that is when you realise just how spectacularly placed you are!

Sunset Villa was amazing, the views, the amenities, and most importantly the location. Shopping and restaurants within a mile not to mention some of the most beautiful beaches within a five minute drive. As mentioned in other reviews, it is way more beautiful in person, The pictures do not reflect the beautiful views you will experience in person.

The rental was beautiful and view was gorgeous! Beds were very comfortable. We had coffee and breakfast on the deck every morning before heading to the beach and came back to watch the sunset and then dinner outside. The only downfall was the construction next door - hopefully it doesn’t last too long

A little slice of Heaven

Sunset Villa is definitely the best VRBO our family has ever stayed! Everything was was 5 star-- from the home's furnishings to the outstanding view we looked out upon every morning while drinking our coffee to the mesmerizing sunsets every evening. The communication with the owner was excellent and his villa management team was responsive to our asks/needs while we were there the entire 2 weeks. Can't say enough about Sunset Villa- hope to return again in the future!!

Still the best!

This was our second time staying at the Garvey's place and it was even better than last time! We could have never left the place and stared at the view all day, every day, it's just that beautiful. Antigua is now our favorite place to visit and it's largely because of this place. It's in the perfect location that gives you a great store right near by, the best beaches to visit on the island are near here, as well as the best restaurants. We hope to return as soon as possible!

This property is spectacular in every way. The pictures of the house and the views are spot on but pale as to the true beauty of the home and surrounding area. The house is luxurious and provides an inviting and comfortable setting for a perfect vacation. Luxury vacation in Paradise!!

Absolutely amazing stay at the Garvey Family’s Sunset Villa! Super simple check in/check out process, great recommendations on things to do/local eats, and provided a great rental car service! Each room is essentially its own HUGE private master suite with 5 star accommodations!! The views from the deck pool area are phenomenal from sun up to sun down! The kitchen is equipped with anything and everything to cool a 5 course meal especially since the epicurean grocery store is at the bottom of the hill! You will not be disappointed with choosing sunset villa for your stay in Antigua!!

Perfect Family Vacation Get-Away

Jolly Harbor is a great place to stay in Antigua, and Villa Sunset is an ideal vacation home. The views were beautiful, and the Villa is well-designed with three private rooms, perfect for a family with adult-age children. The outdoor patios were great for relaxing, and the infinity pool was a crowd favorite. The host and the management staff were very friendly and responsive. The only suggestion we have for visitors is that you may want to forego the rental car and hire taxis during your stay. They are quite reasonable, and it's a lot more fun to let the locals navigate the roads while you enjoy the scenery!

We stay at a lot of VRBO's and this was the best. The pictures which are so great here don't even do it justice. Biggest problem - you'll never want to leave the house! Everything is extremely well and tastefully appointed. The staff at Villa Management including Pascale and Bancroft were exceptional from our first interaction to our last. We stayed at “ Villa Sunset” end of March 2019 for a week and couldn’t be happier with our choice! This stunning villa is perfectly built to have a million dollar view of the sunset , Jolly Harbour and marina and of course the beautiful tortoise water! This stunning villa with its tranquil negative edge pool is fully stocked with anything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff managing the villa were available for initial orientation and any questions we had after. We loved our stay and will go back in the future!

We have been Caribbean lovers since we first took our children there in the early ‘80’s instead of Disneyland. Neither of our children or we have never made it to Disneyland, but we’ve visited just about every island in the beautiful Caribbean. We have been looking the last few years and had narrowed it down to Antigua and one other island. Antigua won hands down! It was the fabulous beaches, the overly friendly Antiguans, the spectacular views, the security of one of the lowest crime rates, the value of the restaurants and handmade purchases, the cleanliness of the island and homely feel of the little towns and villages, the golf courses and the endless activities available…you know where we’re going, we found paradise! A ton of research ensued and endless search for the dream villa ended in Sugar Ridge. Our second trip with in six months we had knew we found home at Villa Sunset and you will too. Certainly the best and most spectacular views of any villa we inspected!

Why they chose this property

One of the best points of it all is location, location, and location. Jolly Harbor has it all and it’s at the bottom of the hill. We have stayed in different areas of the island and by far Jolly Harbor takes the cake. Beaches, restaurants, endless water sports, grocery and liquor stores, banks, rental cars, cafes, and nightlife are only a minute away.

What makes this property unique

Sugar Ridge is a luxury boutique hotel which you may use, but most guests do not. You wouldn’t know its down the hill from Sunset, 5-minute walk or 2-minute drive away make for convenience and ease during your vacation. Security 24 hours, paved roads and the elegance of it all, especially our Antiguan friends, makes you feel like you’re someone special.
