About the host
Hosted by Sandy Sisti and Steve Hartman
Sandy and Steve have been frequent visitors to Yellowstone for more than two decades. After getting married in Yellowstone in 2002, the pair began traveling back and forth to the park with more and more frequency. Because of their love for the Yellowstone area, they decided to relocate to northwest Wyoming to be closer to the park and its wildlife. In 2007, Sandy and Steve settled in Wapiti, Wyoming, just 30 miles from Yellowstone's East Entrance. After living in the area for 4 years, Sandy decided to pursue her dream as a photographer and has become a successful nature/wildlife photographer. Her business, Wild at Heart Images, focuses on the wild world of Yellowstone and beyond. Steve continues to work in the pharmaceutical industry, but often accompanies Sandy on her photographic journeys. When not photographing, you can find Sandy and Steve hiking one of the many trails in the area, still in awe of Wyoming's scenic splendor.
What makes this property unique
The Wapiti Bear Den is centrally located between Yellowstone National Park and the scenic western town of Cody, Wyoming. Whether you spend your time exploring Yellowstone or visiting the Cody/Wapiti area, the outdoor recreation possibilities of northwest Wyoming are endless. Hiking, fishing, horseback-riding, photography, bird watching, wildlife watching, and biking are just a few of the many recreational pursuits that you can enjoy during your stay. If seeing wild horses is on your bucket list, join Sandy on a half day or full day excursion to view the wild horses of McCullough Peaks. With their thorough knowledge of the area, Sandy and Steve can answer any questions you might have to help make your stay the best it can be.
