Escape to a cozy cabin in Fancy Gap for a delightful stay. This 2+bedroom retreat features a queen bed, full bed, crib, twin bed, and sofa bed, perfect for families or friends. This Cabin is located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Fancy Gap, VA. Only a few miles off I-77, is accessible to many metro areas. Although rustic, built in 2005 it offers clean modern amenities, including WIFI & new flat screen TVs. In addition to the two bedrooms, the large loft is set up w/two daybeds & convertible sofa that offer space for relaxing during the day & sleeping for 3 more people. There is a fabulous outdoor deck that offers a gas grill, table and chairs for dining, sitting area with a tiki torch and a propane porch heater, so you can enjoy the great outdoor space on cool autumn evenings watching the sunset. Private gated community w/fishing pond, playground, tennis courts, community swimming pool & close to Parkway attractions. With amenities like an iron, heating, and hair dryer, you'll feel right at home. Relax in the 2 bathrooms equipped with a bathtub and hair dryer. Fall in love with Fancy Gap and enjoy the magic it has to offer. Our home offers WIFI access and we have 2 Roku smart tv's with Netflix, ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, Showtime, EPIX and many other channels for your enjoyment. There are also Children's channels for hours of entertainment for the little ones. The Cabin is very close to many areas that have Seasonal Festival's and the Mabry Mill a short distance down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Some of these areas are... Mt. Airy, NC, Hillsville, VA and Galax VA. Guests will have access to the entire home, except basement and owners closet upstairs. Other things to note, the cabin is located in a private gated community.

Dumpster- The closest dumpster is at the top of Old Rock Road. Turn left at the water tanks and drive around to the other side of white building behind water tanks where you’ll find a dumpster.
Return Heater to 70 degrees: push “Temp” button then “down” button, then “set” at 70
Leave a note if there is anything in the home that is running low or needs attention.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Host communication was not great. There was no working wifi, which i repeatedly reached out to the host about. Her response was that it should be working, which i sent reports clearly showing it wasnt. My daughter also left her head phones at the house. I asked the host to see if the cleaner found them and she just gave me the cleaners phone number to contact, which is fine. The cleaner found them and still has not sent them. I reached out to the host again to ask if she could contact the cleaner since she works for her, and her response was for me to reach out to her directly. Overall the house is fine, no complaints. My issue is with the host communication and I could careless atitude.

Stay was for one night Travelers 80,55,52,17,14,10Make sure you have owners name ready upon entering gated community. WiFi will be sketchy in mountains. WiFi in cabin was fine. If you have a low riding vehicle or with trailer this may not be a good property. But if you go slow and are a confident competent driver take your own risk. Upon entering cabin you will feel right at home. We loved that we could take my mother who is not a very stable walker. Ramp to front door with one small step up. So if traveling with elderly or mildly mobility challenged this property would work. The bathroom toilet is a higher and does not have hand rails. Kitchen is equipped satisfactorily. Could not find a toaster but didn’t look too hard either. Pots and pans are in bottom drawer of stove. Plates and bowls , glasses are hard to reach if you are under 5’8”. Thank goodness my son is over 6’. Home was clean and tastefully decorated. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others. Plenty of sleeping areas. I moved bowls to a small shelf by sink for easier access. Make sure you take down your check in information before you enter mountains.
