Every where we looked there were elk! We enjoyed the proximity to the entrance of the National Park and the easy walk to downtown. Thanks for a great stay!
Everything was clean and just as it said it would be on the page. Bed was super comfortable and we loved the deck. Very close to downtown. Definitely recommend!! We had a wonderful stay!!!
I will definitely stay here again. Quiet neighborhood and super close to downtown Estes Park and the Stanley. This cabin is neat as a pin. Super comfy bed and fold out sofa bed. The elk and mule deer just walk right up on the property as you’re out on the deck having coffee in the morning. The owners of the property are just terrific and respond quickly with any questions. My husband and I stayed in the Evergreen Cottage. It was comfortable and clean. It has a nice deck on the front of the cabin. It was close to Rocky Mountain Natl Park, stores and restaurants. I would stay there again.

This was an enchanting little cottage within walking distance of downtown Estes Park. The owners clearly care about their guests having an enjoyable experience. We highly recommend it for party of two (although the fold out couch will accommodate four).
This place was great for our trip to Estes and RMNP. Its within easy walking distance to downtown and a quick drive to the park. The bed, pillows and couch were all super comfortable. The storage under the bed really helped with keeping our stuff out of the way. There is a community area in the middle of the cottages with cornhole, fire pit and seating.
Terry and Carolyn were amazing hosts and had everything we needed during our stay. All questions and requests were answered cordially and promptly.
Great location—a short easy walk to downtown Estes Park— but far enough from downtown to be quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed chatting with Terry, relaxing in the hammock, comfortable bed, clean and updated cabin.
We stayed in the Evergreen cottage. It was small and workable for my teenage nephew and me. Having the front deck was helpful to spread out a bit…AND to see the 13 elk hanging out on the driveway in the morning!! The pull out couch was not the most comfortable bed ever, but after a full day in RMNP it didn’t matter.

A very nice small cabin that was perfect for my wife and I, VERY close (walking distance) to the shopping and food. Also just down the street from the grocery store and the Stanley Hotel. It was a very clean and good amenities. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who asks about a stay in Estes Park.
We came for a weekend trip to do some hiking in the Rocky Mountains, was a perfect spot to lay our heads at night. Close and convenient to downtown Estes Area - would highly suggest.
We were getting away for a quick stay in Estes and wanted something affordable within walking distance to downtown. My only comment for the host is the sink outside of the bathroom would be more usable with a kitchen type (tall) faucet. Oh and your registry is full. It was plenty big to hang out in when we were not out and about.
This was the perfect cottage for my family’s trip to RMNP. Super cute, with room enough for three and sweet little touches all over. Great location within walking distance to downtown Estes Park, which is needed because parking is hard to come by.
The best part of this property is the location (not to take away anything from the other selling points: clean, amenities, etc). It's 2 blocks from the downtown area, and a quick walk to a favorite coffee shop and nice restaurant. Property is as described: a good-sized hotel room with all of the basics.
Very nice cottage that was less than 5 minutes walk to main drag in Estes. The cottage was very clean and cozy. The mattress was very soft in the center but that was not enough to reduce our 5 star rating. We would definitely stay here again.
Easy rental proscess . Very nice location in Estes . Clean place. My only complaint is im a big guy and the bed was abit soft for my liking but not everyones built the same .
Very clean and cute place, in a great location. Very helpful owners.
Unfortunately we don’t sleep well on a soft mattress, so unless the mattress were changed we won’t return.
A perfect place to stay for our 3 nights in Estes Park. It was walkable to downtown, very close to the RMNP entrance and very comfortable. We would have dinner downtown and come back to relax and watch TV and drink wine. There is no AC, but we would just leave the windows open and the fan on high and it was comfortable for sleeping.

My husband, Terry, and I relocated to Estes Park CO from Kansas City MO in 2008 and we love it here! (and we do still miss KC BBQ and the awesome live blues bands...) We have three adult sons and two grandsons. It's been great living in a smaller town and we love walking anywhere and everywhere from our property.
Terry played baseball four years at the University of Oklahoma and continued playing for nine years professionally. He retired as a Parks Director when we moved to Estes Park and has managed our cottages (The River Rock Cottages) full time. I'm a former tech executive and retired in Feb 2015 to focus exclusively on the cottages (wahoo!)
Why they chose this property
Estes Park is a wonderful vacation area! There are so many fun activities and the mountain views are amazing. We've been here five years and I am still in awe of the beautiful mountains and the fresh, crisp mountain air.
What makes this property unique
Gorgeous 360 degree views, easy walk to downtown for shopping, dining, river walk and ice cream!
We live on-site at the back of the property which is a nice benefit for our traveler's security and immediate support when needed.
