We loved staying at this lovely studio! The location is amazing - very close to a Metro stop, the Seine river, a couple bike rental locations, and tons of charming cafes, bakeries, etc. Our favorite was a small bakery down the street, which had many delicious treats to try, plus to-go cups for our espressos. There's also a big grocery store around the corner. When we arrived in the morning, the apartment was being cleaned, so we were able to leave our luggage at the apartment, and walk about 10-15 minutes to Notre Dame. Very convenient location and lots of fun for us to explore the Marais area. Lana is a fantastic hostess, even calling me in advance to ensure my questions were answered. She also recommended some local bistros to us.
The apartment is in an older building in the Marais, and since you cross a courtyard to access this part of the building it's incredibly quiet inside. The apartment is on the first floor, which in Europe means one flight up from the ground level, and there is a convenient lift so that you don't have to lug your suitcase up the stairs. It is clean, has a couch, a small kitchenette, and a very comfortable double bed. Also, there is a very sturdy lock on the door, so security never felt like an issue. One small caution - there's no hair dryer, so if you need one, bring it with you.
At the end of our France trip, we returned to Paris for just one night before flying out of CDG, so didn’t meet Lana’s 3-night minimum stay. We stayed in a hotel in the Latin Quarter. The experience was fine, but we both agreed that staying in this studio was a much better experience (than a hotel) and a great base for exploring Paris. We’d love to stay there again if we return to Paris!
