Place was spacious and had comfortable beds and a clean kitchen. Location was good for nightlife and shopping. There is a lot of street noise (cars and people) all through the night and the you can hear it (expected….its a cool old place house with thin walls and old glass windows). However, there is a HUGE construction project going on directly across the street. We were woken up at 6:00 on a weekday and at 8:00 on a Saturday to pylons being driven into the ground. It’s so loud and shakes the entire building. You can’t enjoy the porch. You can’t sleep to a reasonable hour. You can’t hear yourself think or carry on conversations during the day. I know the property owners can’t control construction. I just felt like it should have been disclosed to us and that it was a VERY expensive price to ask for that kind of environment. We couldn’t relax, sleep or socialize in the expensive property. (For future readers, the store/cafe downstairs didn’t cause any noise issues).

Being in the heart of downtown does mean there will be some city noise, but our travelers have always loved the location because it allows you to walk everywhere and enjoy all the restaurants, nightlife, and shopping.
As for the construction, it is a neighboring project that’s out of our control. The listing was updated prior to your booking to reflect this, and we truly appreciate your understanding. We hope future guests can still enjoy all that the location and charm of the property have to offer.
This place was truly perfect for a friends bachelorette weekend!!! The house was absolutely perfect for the 7 of us to sleep comfortably, and all had ample bathroom space to get ready each night. The porch was a beautiful backdrop for an at-home private meal, and we could not have been happier with the cafe below. The on-site parking was a little cramped for our rental mini van, but the owners were true champions in making accommodations so we could have an easier parking spot. This place truly is a gem and so close to everything you’ll want in Charleston!!!

Excellent communication with the management company & the property is in a great location. The mattresses could be a little more comfy and the porch could use some cozier outdoor furniture but other than that it was perfect.

Loved the location of the house. So close to King Street restaurants and shops. Having the coffee shop below was a huge perk. Coffee on the porch every morning was a great start to our day.
The communication with the rental property was great and easy through the app.

This is the perfect location if you are shopping or visiting schools etc. we parked the car and did not need it again! Everything we needed was provided and more! Will definitely be staying here again!

The place was perfect for a girls' weekend! We had plenty of room, loved the proximity to downtown, and took advantage of the neighborhood! We enjoyed breakfasts on the deck and the beds were cozy! Someone was in our parking place the entire time but management was aware. Shower pressure could be better, but overall an amazing visit! Would definitely recommend to others and return!

Great house and great location. If you rent this house, definitely check out Island Provisions below for breakfast! The house is clean. Well maintained. We did notice some of the door knobs were extremely loose to the point of coming apart. No risk as far as security though. Otherwise the house is great. Comfortable beds. Plenty of room. Great porch. Would stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. There are four bedrooms, all with comfy beds. Two baths have nice showers. The front en-suite has a clawfoot bathtub, which is great for baths but not as great for showers. We just ended up using the other two showers during our stay. The kitchen is well appointed, and the living room cozy. Plenty of hot water for showers. It is located on a side street, so you don’t get a ton of traffic down it. But the front bedroom is right on the street and can be a bit noisy on the weekends, with people and cars frequenting the road until 2am. Luckily sound machines are in each room and that took care of any noise issues for us. It’s also located right above a coffee and sandwich shop, which is great for breakfast. They open at 7 during the week which was fine for us, but if you like to sleep late, it may get a little noisy with doors closing. The food there was excellent. Food options all around were great too. There’s a pizza shop at the next corner. Two blocks away is a great breakfast restaurant. The upper part of King street is very close with tons of restaurants. The aquarium is within walking distance too. You could walk to the lower part of Charleston but it’s a good mile and a half. The only issue is the closest grocery store was about a mile away. We did what we could with the local convenience stores and DoorDash. Not something the host can fix, of course, but worth knowing if you need anything from a grocery store.

The home was lovely. They did say that there was construction nearby, but we weren’t expecting it to be right across the street. Pile-driving started at 7:00am each morning. It was loud and literally shook the home. It was cool to watch, just not great for sleeping in. That’s beyond the control of the host. It was impossible to know when they would be doing that part of the construction. We would definitely stay again.
