About this property
‘Topl’ In’ Creek-Side Cottage
Weekends or weeks, work retreat or romantic refuge, ‘Topl’ In’ offers new conveniences in a natural setting. The ‘Topl’ In’ is a newly-built family owned Cottage that rests in a deep valley formed by the fresh-water stream called Big Roaring Creek. Its location in Mayberry Township offers visitors quiet seclusion with easy access to cultural amenities. This is a perfect getaway – a place where you can breathe in deep and break out of life’s daily obligations. We built this place to enjoy ourselves and we’re sharing its character and conveniences just enough to help fund its upkeep.
The cottage is conveniently located just five miles from Knoebel’s Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA, and seven miles from nearby Danville, PA. State Parks, like R.B Winter (Half-Way Dam), Hickory Run and Rickett's Glen are short drives away. Shikellamy State Park and Marina is minutes away so bring your boat! The Bloomsburg Fairgrounds offer events year-round. Several quality gun clubs, including the Valley Gun and Country Club in Elysburg is also nearby. Golf courses are plentiful and the Buckhorn Mall and surrounding shopping area is close. Historical enthusiasts can explore nearby covered bridges, take a tour in an Anthracite coal mine, visit the historic Jim Thorpe or just enjoy the incredible scenic surroundings.
But you need not get in the car again once you’re there! Brings some old sneakers that you can wear in the creek – find a spot to take a dip, cast your fishing line or catch minnows and crayfish with your kids. It’s a great place for biking! You can hike the local wooded hillsides and huddle around the fire-pit as the evening closes into a crisp night. Sleep to the sound of crickets and rushing water.
A fully equipped kitchen adjacent a large dining area and two living-room spaces brings family members together and still provides room to escape. The Cottage is handicapped accessible with an exterior ramp up to the main level and an easily navigable full-bathroom. There are two half-baths. Even if its drizzling outside you can breath the fresh air and do some grilling on the giant patio on the ground level.
The cottage has three bedrooms a full bath with a low-step shower and two half-baths. One of the half-baths is in the laundry/utility room.

Why they chose this property
Our parents bought our cottage early on in their marriage and our father, single-handedly constructed the building that was ruined in the 2011 flood. Our father is gone now too but the memories we made and still make there will always be with us.
