This is a brilliantly located, comfortably appointed ground floor apartment in a solid town house on the main square in Aubeterre. It is close to all the amenities - shops, cafes, bars, within comfortable walking distance of the beach with its excellent bar and great swimming in the Dronne.The outside space is not attached to the house and is found above the parking place, fifty metres from the house. This made it less useful than it might have been - perhaps a BBQ up there would have made eating outside a possibility!The kitchen was fairly well equipped but there were no instructions for the appliances - the induction hob, the washing machine, the TV. It would have helped to have had a simple guide to how to use these appliances as we spent a bit of time trying to figure it out and had to ask the host how the TV worked!The bedroom and bathroom were really well set up and comfortable. We wondered how it work for two couples with the second bedroom off the first, but we were travelling alone and were able to use the second bedroom as a dressing room.So, overall, we had an enjoyable stay in Aubeterre, right in the heart of the town. If the host addressed some of the issues raised, this would be a five star review.
