It has everything you need. Great location. Quick drive to most things in the area. Better to be here than waste your time driving everywhere. If you are looking for Hilo, this is your place.

Every room was very clean and nice. It was in a convenient location, and I had a very comfortable time. The owner was also very kind to respond. I really want to stay again. Mahalo!

Upstairs unit a few blocks from Hilo in a quiet neighborhood. Relatively clean although a container of some mystery substance in the freezer. Beds were comfortable and good water pressure in the showers. Fans and windows did a good job of keeping us cool and comfortable. The unit does need some updating but it does the job. 40 minutes to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Overall, we were satisfied with the unit itself. It was clean, comfortable, and included an iron, even though I had messaged the host about a week before our stay to ask if one was available and never received a response.The biggest disappointment was the lack of communication from the host. I reached out before our arrival with a question and again during our stay when the downstairs tenant had guests who were very loud until the early morning, making it difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, neither message received a response. This was especially frustrating because the house instructions asked guests to be respectful of the downstairs tenant, yet when the excessive noise came from that unit, we were unable to reach the host for assistance.There were also a couple of maintenance issues. The kitchen trash can lid would not stay closed, so we had to weigh it down with other items. On a positive note, the bathroom included clear instructions for operating the shower, which were helpful since switching the water from the tub faucet to the showerhead wasn’t intuitive.Overall, the accommodations met our expectations, but more responsive communication and attention to a few maintenance items would have made for a much better experience.
