This property was the perfect setting for my family Christmas getaway. Hot tub, fishing, pool, darts, we fit in so much into one short stay. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked and the bedrooms were all comfortable.

We stayed here for a wedding, and unfortunately it was one of the most disappointing STR experiences we have had.The property is neglected and didn't feel like it had been cleaned or rented in some time. There were multiple maintenance concerns, including broken and worn furniture, a ceiling area was falling in the downstairs shower, and the pool table was so uneven it was unplayable. Also, the yard was unkempt, which made it difficult to walk our dog. Most concerning, we found rodent droppings in the upstairs trundle beds. Because of that, we did not feel comfortable using the upstairs areas. For the one night we stayed, our group split up, with some family members staying with other wedding guest, and the rest of us sharing one downstairs room. We left the evening after the wedding and drove through the night rather than spending another night.Initially, I messaged the owner privately because these were legitimate issues and wanted them to be aware. Rather than acknowledge the concerns, the response was defensive, referenced prior five-star reviews, and later sent messages including “kick rocks buddy and get a hotel,” “we know your type,” and “bud, spend your dollars elsewhere next time.” That response was shocking and is not a host interaction we would want for anyone.This property may have potential with better cleaning, maintenance, and guest care, but based our stay and the owner’s response, I would not recommend it.
