The place is beautiful. We liked it there. The bed was comfortable. Guests should be aware that access is via a large number of stairs. The property is built into steeply sloped terrain. The hosts were quite helpful, making sure we were able move in upon arrival, even though it was late in the evening.
Eli was very clear with guidance to find the place - vey important as it’s well up in the hills on a small road. He also offered an easier way to get heavy suitcases to the cabin. We didn’t need that but appreciated the offer. The place itself is really lovely. Quiet, wonderful sunsets, owls hooting at night.
5 stars — I absolutely loved my stay at Artist Retreat in Tujunga. I was in town for an event in Burbank and this location was exactly what I was looking for. It truly felt like a little cabin tucked away in nature while still being close to LA. The city noise was basically nonexistent and everything felt calm, grounded, and peaceful. The space itself was so thoughtfully designed and full of character. I loved the wooden ceilings, the custom details in the bathroom, and the entire color palette (the greens and oranges were my favorite). The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was very comfortable, and every detail felt intentional and cozy. The hosts were also very communicative and helpful throughout the stay. One thing future guests should know is that parking is at the top of the hill and there are stairs leading down to the entrance. It felt completely safe and the hosts even offered to help carry items if needed, but guests with mobility concerns may want to keep that in mind. For me, the tucked-away hillside setting was part of the charm and made the retreat feel even more special.I would absolutely stay here again.
