We had a little hicup at check in, but Vasca was quick to get a resolution and make everything right. We had a great stay, the house was clean, quiet and comfortable. Great views and step off the back steps and your practically on the beach! Would definitely stay here again!!

The advertised pictures are old and misleading. Almost none of the exterior pictures reflect the actual condition of the property. Upon arrival we found the exterior in total disarray and the cleaning person already gone. Trash overflowing in the carport. Additional bags on the ground. Beer cans, water bottles, clothing, toys scattered thruout the carport. Per the advertised pictures, this area was supposed to be an entertainment area. Wood floors, dart board, bench seat, etc. We removed the bench seat. It had completely rusted out with sharp rusted iron exposed. The area was also full of 3-5 tons of sand about 3ft. high. The entire area was unusable. The advertised pictures showed a nice beach. Currently, the beach has eroded to the point of exposing large sandbags that resemble beached whales. Metal rods holding these in place are exposed and sharp. There is no beach at all at high tide.Steps up to the 1st level smelled of cat urine. The wrap around decks on the 1st and 2nd levels had dog feces on them and water bottles filled with dozens of cigarette butts. Disgusting. Carolina Coast Retreats did send someone to remove the trash and clean the exterior. The cleaning person returned and cleaned the wrap around decks. Outlets in two bathrooms did not work. Someone came out to fix it. The interior of the property was in pretty good shape but the exterior and misleading pictures had already spoiled it for us.Would not recommend and would definitely not rent again.

Ocean Fun

We rented for a week. The ocean view and beach access is excellent! High tide comes right up to the house. The water is shallow with a sandbar/second beach at low tide. Perfect for kids. We loved the outdoor shower. Parking is a little tricky with all the sand in the driveway. The beds were comfortable. There were a few maintenance items but nothing serious. The home is beautiful and comfortable and well equipped. There are two flights of stairs to get to the main floor. I highly recommend this rental for the ocean view and experience.

Contact with the rental company has been minimal, they do not respond to emails or send information when they should. (I’m still waiting for them to email or text me back.) I have a long list of things that were wrong with the home and I’ve been trying to contact someone to talk about them. It’s a beautiful location and it has the possibility to be an amazing rental, if things would get updated and fixed.

The beach access is fantastic!! House was very clean and well equipped. Loved the outside shower. Beds, linens were very comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay! Some maintenance items need to be addressed: 1. Downstairs tub drain does not drain well and needs to be cleared. 2. Downstairs tub handheld sprayer leaks-needs to be tightened. 3. Master showerhead pipe is not attached to the wall at all. 4. Third tread from the bottom on the upper stairs is loose. This is a tripping hazard.
