About this property
Greystone 1830
"Greystone" is a charming stacked granite home built in the 1830's as a tavern and one of 4 original structures that made up Hammondsville VT. Greystone is just miles from Woodstock, and down the road from the Green Mountain Horse Association (GMHA). It's a short drive to Killington or Okemo and many other Vermont destinations. Greystone is just off VT Rt 106 on a large lot with a circular driveway and plenty of room for parking.
The home is fully renovated and modernized.
The space
In the 1950's Greystone was converted to a Bed and Breakfast and received a kitchen as well as a first floor owners suite. It continued to operate as a B & B until 2012 when the long term owner passed away. In the summer of 2016, the current owner fell in love with the historic building and gave Greystone a "new life".
Over a 2 year extensive remodeling and modernization project, Greystone has been converted from a B & B to a large open family gathering home. It has been updated with every modern amenity while retaining its historic beauty and charm. Guests will enjoy a chef's kitchen, updated heating and A/C ( with separate thermostats in each room), a new plumbing system with updated fixtures and a tankless hot water heater.
The home now boasts 4 modern bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a spacious open kitchen/gathering space, and a large family room with a cozy wood burning stove. Other perks include a large stone patio with plenty of seating, 200MB fiber internet, and Verizon cell extension hot spot. Greystone sleeps 10 comfortably and can accommodate larger gatherings.
Enjoy Greystone as a family gathering spot or as a home base while enjoying all that Vermont has to offer.
Guest access
Your use of Greystone will include the entire home with the exception of the 3rd floor attic space.
Other things to note
100mbs fiber wifi!
Greystone is on a paved main road and 20 minutes away from Okemo, 30 minutes from Skyeship Lodge in Killington and 40 minutes from the main Peak Lodge in Killington.
It is only 5 miles from the Green Mountain Horse Association and has a large turn around driveway that can accommodate horse trailers.
Additional rules
- Pet deposit of $75 and pet acceptance agreement is needed. Pet fee is paid directly to the housekeepers. Additional fee will apply for parties that are hosted on property.
