We stayed with 8 guests total at the home. We would choose this home again in a second and recommend it without hesitation. There are four nice sized bedrooms, 2.5 baths, two nice gathering areas within the home, and a well stocked kitchen. There was a bunk bed available just off the living rom in the basement as an added plus. Plenty to do at the home (separate large garage that contained a ping pong and foosball tables) an in home pool table, and a very nice fire pit area with supplied firewood and 8 chairs. We did not have time to enjoy the large deck overlooking the river, screened in porch, and provided kayaks for river cruising. This was a peaceful and private setting and we saw 4-6 deer on the property each day of our stay. Nice towns available 10 minutes away and while you are in the area you should spend a day visiting Stillwater. Our hosts were available to help us as needed.Steve
We had a great time at this beautiful property! Our group included 6 adults and 4 kids, ages 9–17, and the home was excellent for a family gathering. The owner was very responsive, helpful, and great to work with throughout our stay. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious, and comfortably furnished. The layout is ideal for groups. We loved the driveway water feature, river views, fire pit with plenty of seating, large deck, 98” TV, and pool table. The bathrooms were very clean. There was plenty of parking. It was very peaceful and quiet. Good quality furniture throughout. We spent lots of time relaxing and chatting near the river. If kayaking or tubing, plan to put in upstream and float down, as the current behind the house is quite strong. Fishing was challenging due to the current, although we did catch a few small fish.A few maintenance and cleaning details kept this from being a five-star experience. Some hidden areas needed deeper cleaning, including inside the refrigerators and garbage cans; we found mold inside one kitchen trash can. The exterior had quite a few cobwebs and dead bugs, and the grass needed trimming. The grill was quite dirty, the knobs had no temperature markings, and there were no grilling utensils provided. The dishwasher’s start button was also very finicky.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! With a little additional attention to cleaning and maintenance, this could easily be a five-star property.
This is a beautiful property, exactly as described! So spacious and room for 8 adults to spread out. So many fun amenities with ping pong in the garage, kayak's (with easy launching access), and many nearby towns with restaurants, etc. The hosts were very responsive, prior to and during our stay. We would highly recommend this property!
