The entire house is yours — a restored historic building transformed into three distinct designer spaces, each brought to life with its own color palette, artful personality, and private living areas. 🏛️ About Lake Effect Club/Creators
Lake Effect Club was dreamed up by three friends — two born-and-raised Milwaukeeans and one who married in — united by their love for design, storytelling, and this incredible city.
We’re an architectural/interior designer, a film director/producer, and a former fashion designer turned all-around creative. During the pandemic, we began imagining the kinds of places we’d want to stay: colorful, thoughtful, and full of character.
Years later, we found a 150-year-old property on Milwaukee’s East Side — and brought it back to life with designer vintage finds, local art, new comforts, and a lot of heart. This home is our love letter to Milwaukee — a city that’s every bit as cool as the lake it sits on. 💛
🏡 Inside the Home
Step into a space where every level tells a different story — all tied together by craft, creativity, and comfort.
🌸 The Sidney (Main Floor – Yellow Door) A vibrant, light-filled flat that blends coral tones, vintage charm, and easy livability. Two dreamy bedrooms — one king and one queen — plus a cozy sleeper sofa create room for six. The kitchen features retro checkered floors, a French press, cookware, and a solid wood dining table for long dinners or board-game nights. Enjoy morning coffee or sunset cocktails on the front porch or side deck surrounded by greenery.
💜 The Nohl (Back Cottage – Pink Door) Inspired by Milwaukee artist Mary Nohl, this playful one-bedroom retreat celebrates color and creativity. A petal-pink kitchen flows into a cozy lounge with a sofa bed, while the lavender bedroom and jewel-blue clawfoot-tub bathroom make every moment feel special. The walk-in closet doubles as a mini office for those longer stays. Outside, relax on the charming cottage porch, perfect for slow mornings and golden evenings.
💛 The Hoan (Upstairs Flat – Blue Door) Named for Milwaukee’s beloved Hoan Bridge, this golden upper flat glows with warmth and sophistication. A golden lounge with vintage pieces, art books, and a reading nook sets the tone. The retro-pink kitchen and dining space are ready for real meals, while the serene queen bedroom with a writing desk offers a quiet escape. The modern bathroom features a walk-in shower and spa-quality touches.
Together, these three spaces form a single home that includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms, with multiple lounges, full kitchens, and thoughtfully curated outdoor areas.
