From the moment you step inside this custom built 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa (providing space for 10ppl max), you will be impressed! No detail was spared in building this thoughtfully built home. The best feature has to be the floor to vaulted ceiling glass walls which give you a non-obscured, serene beach and ocean view that will leave you feeling purely relaxed.
The beach is at your doorsteps, and the clubhouse with private beach-side pool and restaurant are just a few steps away. The open concept of this home provides plenty of space for your entire family. There are too many details to list; sound-proof, a triple water filtration system, air conditioning throughout, a separated ice-maker, Tempurpedic mattresses, and fully equipped gourmet kitchen, you've got it all in this luxurious beach villa!

The two master bedrooms are also floor to ceiling glass walls, air conditioned, although the ceiling fans and openness you won't find you need the a/c. The first master includes a private spectacular granite, slate ensuite bathroom, and private balcony with seating. The second master bedroom is also surrounded by glass and shares an equally spectacular luxurious ensuite. The third bedroom is perfect for the children, with twin size bunk beds, and one full size bed, as well as a/c.

Stunning Location

Our stay at Palmetto Bay was amazing! The ocean views, beautiful house, and restaurant/ Bar within walking distance made this the perfect location for our family!

House was beautiful.

The beach is not a swimming beach. Sea grass is all over.Did not see one person swim there. Dishes were dirty in cupboard. Hair in drains. I think management company is to blame. The house was second to none.

Nice Retreat

Our large family group enjoyed our stay at Palmetto Bay. As native Hondurans, the property was reminiscent of the natural flora and flauna that has been removed from more popular parts of the islands. The more natural feel was accompanied by an increased wildlife presence which has its pros and cons. Management was very responsive and the restaurant food was really good. We used the dive shop to go snorkeling which was also a 5 star experience. It was the little things that made this a 4 star property (instead of 5). The kitchen lacked seasonings, we couldn't use the dishwasher, the guesthouse's appliances didn’t work. These things were minor for us and the good definitely outweighed any challenges we had. The property was absolutely beautiful, the home was nicely designed, management was responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.

The front photo is exactly what you see from inside this house. The view is beautiful. Stephanie, the host is great: communication, and on top of everything. Palmetto Bay is a well secured, eco-friendly private beach resort. It's lovely - there's a bar, a restaurant and a dive/snorkel shop. Everything to make your experience perfect... and nothing is ever crowded. The location of Palmetto Bay is within 20min of the airport, and 15min to Eldon's Grocery. Perfect.The house: very large, clean, well equipped with linens, beach towels and kitchen items.Negatives of the home: 1. There are no exhaust fans whether for the bathroom or the kitchen. I understand you could open the window to allow humid air or frying fumes to escape. But the No-see-ums are brutal, so that's not an option. Now there are smells of mold in certain areas: 2nd master bedroom, laundry room. Part B: the No-see-ums bring repellent!2. The oven bake feature is non-functional. So if you like to cook or bake, this is a big problem. I'd planned for baking several meals, cookies and muffins for the grandkids. For 400US/night, everything should be functioning... in my opinion.3. Even though this place is relatively well equipped, bring spices (there's S&P and that's it).4. Maintenance is an issue: especially for the appliances. The coffee maker makes terrible coffee because it needs a good cleaning; the D/W needs a super cleaning run; the washer needs a drum clean. The showers need a good anti-mold clean.

We understand it’s in the jungle- but the grill does not work- took two days for host to respond

The house looked great when we first came but we are so disappointed and honestly grossed out. There is bats living in the walls by the two master bedrooms. We can hear them and it’s so gross. They are also living over the guest house and dive bomb you when you use the door. The dishwasher is full of roaches I’m not even sure if it works. The stove has two knobs that have been temporary fixed so it doesn’t really work. The grill doesn’t work properly and the jetted bath tub doesn’t work. We brought our family here for a nice vacation and this place has been an embarrassment. There is also droppings from bats all over the master tv stand. And we killed a large scorpion in the guest house. We are so disappointed and grossed out.

We decided to stay at casa Luz and the house is outstanding. Personal we’re very attentive and friendly. We had a small issue with the stove but host was on top of her game taking care of it and was fixed right away. I really recommend staying at this place!

Pretty ocean view

The property’s location was nice and was conveniently located right in front of the beach and near a pool and restaurant for guests. The surrounding community felt safe and calm. It would have been nicer if the house itself was more cleaner, but overall me and my family enjoyed our stay at the property the views were nice and the house is very spacious.

Beautiful home with incredible views. Great space for bigger group. Its interior is beautiful and had everything you need as far as cooking stuff, coffee pot, beach towels, margarita maker, umbrella, friendly beach dog, intermittent WIFI and A/C! Property manager great to work with and even made a personal cake for my daughters 16th bday. The clubhouse area is so cool and has a fun vibe. Spent the Christmas and New Year on the property and Stephanie really worked her magic to create the holiday feel, not to mention the DJ Chelsea was hip and played fun music. The ladies behind the bar were really sweet and worked hard. There is a secret "white flag" ocean spot west of the property you can walk to on the beach you can't miss. You can walk out on white sand quite a ways to the white flag and swim in clear blue waters. Overall the 15 day adventure was a success using Cleves Tours & Adventures as our best days ever outside the property. Minor set backs would be the sand fleas which we found baby oil works best and the power going out 3-4 times throughout our stay and lastly would be the location is far enough from any store or West End that I would rent a car or prepare for an abundance of groceries upon arrival or spending money R/T just to go. Definitely do it again!

Amazing Home!

Our family of 5 spent 7 nights at Casa Luz and let me tell you it's one amazing home! Top notch furnishings with pristine views. Everything we needed was available. Less than a minute walk to the pool/restaurant and personal transportation service at our disposal. Excursions for snorkel came right to the beach area which was really nice. Full security 24/7. James & Stephanie were awesome. Our guides Eric & Henry were amazing and personal. The property is private and secluded, but with access to any part of the island you desire. Bring your bug spray and enjoy the Palmetto Bay area!
