Unique Lake Lanier Cottage ~ On Super Deep Water Near North GA Mountains!!

This warm, family friendly 3-story cottage at the northern part of Lake Lanier is only an hour drive away from the city of Atlanta and just a few minutes away from the North GA Outlets (lots of shopping and restaurants).

With it’s gorgeous wraparound forest and lake views and a dock on super deep lake water - it’s the ideal place to create special memories with friends and family!

SLEEPING/ACCOMMODATION

The cottage has a total of 3 bedrooms - 2 with queen size beds and a rec room equipped with 2 sets of bunk beds – ideal for families with kids or great additional sleeping for adults. The master bed is spacious enough for an extra queen size air mattress for additional sleeping. It has 3 full bathrooms and would comfortably sleep 8 guests.

LOCATION

The home is located between two very convenient lake Lanier recreational parks, each with boat ramps!! Nix Bridge to the South and Toto Creek to the North and only minutes away.
Quick access to GA 400 means a short ride to shopping, restaurants, and tourist attractions such as Dahlonega, Amicalola Falls State Park, Tubing on the Chestatee river and Alpine Helen. The Chestatee Golf Club is only minutes away and there is plenty more to do!!

The home is nestled in the trees with a view of the lake from all three levels. The dock is just a minute walk down on a short but little steep path with landscape steps and hand railings to make the walk more comfortable. The reward is amazing deep water, allowing you to dive right in. The dock is equipped with sun chairs and coffee table for your convenience. A kayak is also available for you to use.

ACCESS AND PARKING

Our Cottage is equipped with an automated keypad at the front door, allowing secure, easy access at check-in and throughout your stay. Just show up and start enjoying your vacation.

There is parking for 2 cars at the bottom of the driveway and also additional parking the opposite side of the street from the driveway.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Household essentials are all provided!

The cozy kitchen is fully equipped with gadgets, tools, and appliances including crockpot, toaster, blender, microwave, coffee maker (Keurig duo that also makes regular coffee); lots of quality cookware, dishes, glassware and serving platters/bowls and even things like Baggies, Tupperware, and foil; salt, pepper, oil, and spices. We visit our second home frequently so we keep it well-maintained and nicely equipped.

Our Welcome Guide/House Manual contains everything you need to know about the property, recommended restaurants and activities throughout the year.

My family absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. It was perfect!!! There was plenty to do in the surrounding area. The cabin was just as described and was in great shape. We cannot wait to go back and enjoy the lake. The owners were great and very responsive. I would absolutely recommend this property.

Celebrated my granddaughters 13th birthday with family. Loved the country cottage feel. Great location to outlet mall. Dock was excellent. The steps to the dock are challenging, but would recommend this property anytime.

What a Peaceful Getaway

We had a great time during our recent stay. The property is gorgeous and the views of the lake amazing. The surrounding area was very pretty as well and we saw a variety of wildlife including deer, foxes and chipmunks. We had five people in our party and there was plenty of room for everyone. The teens enjoyed foosball and the video game machine. The owner was very communicative and ultra-responsive to any inquiry. We arrived after dark and the driveway was a bit imposing (it is pretty steep), but after we dealt with it once, it was a breeze. Also of note, there are a fair number of stairs inside the house and down to the lake. It's a great walk down to the lake, but would not be easy for anyone with mobility restrictions. The surrounding area has everything you need as well. It is convenient to grocery stores, restaurants and the outlets. Overall, the house was fantastic and we would stay again in a heartbeat. I cannot speak highly enough of the property and the host. They put us at ease for every step of the trip and helped make it a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was perfect. Although it looks small when driving in but we had plenty of room to move around without being on top of one another. The decor was full of rustic charm which I loved. The walk down to the lake is a steep one but that’s all part of the deal with staying on the lake as far as I’m concerned. But it could be tricky for some. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped which made cooking a joy. The screened in porch was my favourite spot for coffee every morning. The only thing I would say is that list of activities and places to rent boats and other lake toys would have been a helpful addition to the welcome book. A more comprehensive list of restaurants would have been good too. We found Papa’s Place on our last day and if we had know about it earlier we put would have gone everyday. So good! And not the usual chain you find on 400. All in all it worked out though Anita was very helpful when I rang her to ask some questions. I’d stay here again.

Quaint cabin on the lake

We had an awesome stay! Kitchen was well-equipped and plenty of space for our family. As others have mentioned the path to the dock is steep with many steps but the the exercise was worth the reward to sit on the dock and reading. I do recommend parking up top since the driveway is steep.

A great little cabin, very rustic. A steep climb, but well worth the beautiful, and deep water dock at the bottom of the hill. The host was accessible and very easy to communicate with. A good value.

Lanier lake house

We enjoyed our time at this lake house. It was the perfect place to get away from the busy day to day. The location was ideal for us. The driveway was a bit treacherous, but there was parking on the street that we took advantage of. Unfortunately, the weather made it difficult for us to take advantage of the dock, but there was plenty in the house to keep us busy.

Perfect PreChristmas

We were here for parent’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. The lake house was a perfect location for travel to and from events. As a few have mentioned, the drive is steep but after a time or two of navigating, it really was not an issue. The house had a beautiful view and was wonderfully decorated. Was an extra treat to have the house decorated for Christmas and looked like something in a Hallmark movie, even had a lovely gift for us on the counter! The host had everything we could need with kitchen staples, if anything was forgotten. The beds were very comfortable and the towels and linens were of higher quality. The 17 and 20 year old niece and nephew loved the bunk room and the foosball and multivideo arcade machine. The four adults enjoyed the time visiting in front of the fire. It was a perfect long weekend get away!

After living in Europe for several years we decided to move back to my husband's native Atlanta and start a family. We love hiking, biking, fishing and all kinds of water sports. One of our biggest dreams was to buy a lake cottage where we can spend some quality time with our children and make some special, wonderful memories that will last us all a lifetime.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this house the minute we saw it. We love the views of the lake from all three levels! We like the proximity to all the restaurants and attractions, there is just so much to do around here. Having both the lake and the North GA mountains at your doorstep is a really sweet set up.

What makes this property unique

There are so many great things about this house. It's so cozy and warm inside, you walk in and you really feel like 'you've arrived at the lake'. The spacious master suite with it's own verandah overlooking the lake is so unique. The view is beautiful and it's my favorite spot for a morning coffee. We love relaxing on the bottom deck after a fun filled lake day, and nothing compares to an afternoon nap on the swing bed. After a long day on the water it's so nice to gather in the cozy kitchen and have long conversations while preparing a meal together.
