This is a great location to enjoy the fabulous walleye fishing in lake Erie, the kayaking in Presque Isle State Park with the kids, local restaurants, pizza, ice cream nights and mini golf. Some nights just a quiet campfire with s'mores on the back patio by the lake ends the perfect, busy day. Great relaxing stay in a comfortable home by the lake!!!!!
My friends and I are all turning 40 this year, so we decided to pick a different weekend activity to celebrate each birthday. My friend Bob was the birthday boy this weekend and he just wanted to hangout somewhere peaceful and sereen with golf courses and some nice play to grab a bite to eat and a drink. It was an added bonus that afew of the guys where edinboro university alumni so we got to go down memory lane as well back 20 years ago when we all hung out over on campus. The house was above and beyond what we were expecting to find, not only did it cover all the bases, close to golf courses, close to some nice places to eat, and a short drive to campus. The inside of the house is very nice and welcoming and very clean and the outside of the house was amazing the lake is awesome and the fire pit and benches were great too. In the evening the sound of the frogs and crickets was awesome. We caught a lot of fish right from the banks of the property, had a nice fire each night relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I enjoyed this property so much I plan on taking my wife and kids back there for a family weekend before summer is over.
The property was great....it had its own boat dock, and kayaks you can use. Definitely a cute mom and pos place. The only problem we had was with vrbo app not sending updates but our stay was very pleasant.
We were excited to get away to a private getaway as a family. The home was beautifully decorated, comfortable and welcoming. We had a bit of rain while we were there but there was so much to do in the house that it wasn't a problem. The boys spent time out on the dock fishing.and enjoying the pond. First time fishing for my 2 year old grandson. We truly enjoyed the stay.
This was third time to the property, but the first with my husband and kids along. We had a wonderful long weekend of relaxation and lake fun. The home is spacious both inside and out, and the kayaks and bicycles and hammocks were put to good use! We hope to be back!
Perfect little get away for my family with small children. The house was beautiful and clean with lots of space. We wished the lake was more swimmable for our children. We overall had a great stay. Thank you!
This is our third time staying at this property. It has become our May vacation stay. I look forward to going every year. Amazing house and so many different places to visit around. The lake is so beautiful with all the wildlife you see. We all enjoyed our time fishing and watching the wildlife. The Host are the best. They sent multiple messages of suggestions of places to go and have great food recommendations. They are also very quick to respond if you have any questions.
The house was a perfect size for my family of 6 adults and a 6 and 7 year old.
Trouble with the web site itself. Kept getting a message that my trip was not registered, but it could have been doing something wrong. Overall stay was very very good. 1st time using verbo, and not familiar with all extra fees, but it is what it is. We enjoyed our time together and that is what mattered most.
Wanted a relaxing weekend away with friends and family, which is exactly what we found here! The host was super friendly and accommodating and we truly enjoyed ourselves!
Stayed in the winter months and had a wonderful time! So peaceful and quiet in the snow! We plan to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake and explore the surroundings further! Amy and Robin were wonderful hosts and gave us lots of suggestions for places to discover.
The location of this property and the amenities available are perfect for a girlfriend getaway. Property owner is easy to work with and quick to respond.
Loved this home on the lake. So quiet and private. We really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. The bikes were also a hit. The deck and firepit were utilized as well. We will def be coming back another time! Loved the decorations. Check in was so easy. Questions we had we’re answered in a timely fashion. Beautiful place!!
The home was tastefully decorated, clean, and in a wonderful location! Amy (and her family) were especially helpful and checked in to make sure we were comfortable and if we required anything. It was a wonderful family community and very relaxing. The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars was because the dock, kayaks, and paddle boat (which is located on the property we rented by the side of the patio/deck area) are shared among the 3 properties, which was not mentioned in the original listing. If you prefer total privacy, you might want to rent one of the other homes. But much like camping, we did meet 2 families which was a bonus as they were very friendly and we spent time getting acquainted and talking and hanging out a bit-even teaching one of the younger children how to fish and they brought worms to my husband as a gift later on, however there was one family that came later with whom we had no contact at all (they just came onto the side of the property and took out the paddle boat and a kayak-which was expected by this point in time-but they then paddled around where my husband was fishing and he needed to pack up his gear and be done for the day. This was very disappointing since my husband is an avid fisherman and this is the main reason we came) It all depends on the families who are coming... Also, the lake was beautiful, but very overgrown with grasses/lily pads, resembling more of a very huge pond. But the geese and other wildlife were amazing! Overall, it was very enjoyable and relaxing. I appreciate Amy and her family for all they do to help make their homes so warm and inviting, and for their kindness and hospitality!

Thank you for your review, Kelly--We always welcome feedback! I understand your concern with the communal dock, as it is not our typical procedure and we are in the process of building a separate dock for our other properties to use. The lake definitely becomes overgrown, especially late in summer and when there's not a lot of rain. Glad that you could enjoy the beauty of the nature and peace that this area provides. Happy travels!
The home was very welcoming. We enjoyed our time out on the lake and the beautiful view the deck had to offer.

We are sisters who own and manage two properties on the lake in the small, beautiful countryside where we grew up. One of us still lives in the area while the other works from the left coast in LA. We love decorating and creating a warm, cozy home away from home in this special spot on the lake that our parents discovered years ago. With our many brothers and sisters, cousins, neices, and nephews, we've shared so many wonderful memories here and hope that others will do the same.
