The property was “in the woods” which is exactly what we wanted. It had a beautiful porch where we could sit and listen to and watch the hummingbirds. The best part was the quiet; no plane sounds, no car sounds, no truck sounds, no ambulances or firetrucks. Just the quiet & soft sounds of nature. We would absolutely recommend this cabin in the woods!

The property is located on a very quiet wooded piece of land. The cottage is well taken care of and just what we were looking for. Only minutes from the ferry to Washington Island. The host provided all the details we needed for check in and check out and left us alone other than that. We didn't experience any issues while we stayed there. Everything we could want or need was there for us. We just brought some basic food & beverages. The WIFI was solid and there are 2 large screen TV's. Plenty of restaurants within 15 minutes. The stars at night were a highlight along with hummingbird shows during the day.

Overall for a plan B stay this place fit our needs. The host is responsive as well as attentive. We had six ppl staying and we only had 4 towels not a huge deal but should know to prepare for that. A few things to improve would be the cleaning detail of the furnace louvers and ceiling fan. Hosts personal item storage organization their items seemed haphazardly thrown in the closet that as a guest staying with luggage and clothes wasn’t easy to put items in there. Very nice location out of the hustle and bustle of the busier towns but close enough to still buzz around to many DC attractions.

Enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, it rained, but it was wonderful having the covered porch to enjoy the outdoors. Abundant wildlife right outside the window.
