About the host
Hosted by Sarah Goodwin
Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m originally from the Finger Lakes of New York and have always been drawn to the calming rhythm of the water, the beauty of tall pines, and the simple, restorative feeling that comes from being in nature. Hosting this lakehouse is an extension of the life I love—one centered around connection, comfort, and creating space for people to slow down and truly breathe.
When I’m not hosting, you’ll usually find me outside—walking my dog, exploring local trails, gardening, or catching early-morning light over the water. I also love good food, meaningful conversations, and creating beautiful spaces that feel both grounding and uplifting. My background in wellness and design definitely shows up in the way I’ve set up the home: thoughtful touches, calming colors, cozy textures, and everything you need to feel completely taken care of.
One of the reasons I enjoy hosting so much is the sense of shared experience. Whether you’re here for a quiet weekend away, a family gathering, or a celebration, it means a lot to me that this house plays a small role in your story. I’ve tried to create a space that feels personal yet peaceful—somewhere you can cook a leisurely meal in the gourmet kitchen, sip coffee while looking out at the water, or gather on the sunny dock to watch the day drift by.
I believe the best trips are the ones where you feel truly at home, even when you’re away. That’s why I pay attention to details, respond quickly, and make sure the space is stocked with the comforts you’d expect in your own home. My goal is always to give guests a warm, effortless experience so you can focus on what matters most: relaxing, reconnecting, and enjoying the lake.
Thank you for considering a stay here. I hope you feel the calm, beauty, and joy this place brings me every time I arrive. I look forward to hosting you!

Why they chose this property
Nestled on the serene shores of the lake, our home is surrounded by the sights and sounds that make this area so special. From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice the gentle rustle of leaves in the woodsy yard, the shimmering reflections on the water, and the peaceful rhythm of life away from the hustle and bustle. Mornings are best spent on the deck with a cup of coffee, watching mist rise from the lake, or strolling along the shoreline as the sun warms the day. In the evenings, the dock becomes a perfect spot to watch the sunset paint the sky in shades of pink, orange, and gold, while the calm water mirrors the moment.
One of my favorite things about the neighborhood is privacy. You can enjoy the quiet and natural beauty of your surroundings. Seasonal changes bring their own magic: vibrant fall foliage, crisp winter mornings, blossoming springs, and long summer days on the water.
I especially love how easy it is to balance activity and relaxation here. You can kayak directly from the dock, explore nearby hiking trails, or take a leisurely bike ride along scenic roads. And when you return home, the open-concept living space, water views from every room, and cozy woodsy surroundings make it simple to unwind, cook a meal in the gourmet kitchen, or curl up with a book while listening to the gentle lapping of the lake.
There’s a quiet rhythm to this neighborhood that makes it a perfect escape—whether you’re looking for adventure, family fun, or simply a peaceful retreat. I love sharing this special corner of the world with guests and seeing them fall in love with the lake, the woods, and the small everyday moments that make a stay here truly memorable.
