The property was as advertised. Though we only stayed one night, we enjoyed the peaceful evening and morning, and enjoyed taking the kayak/paddle board out on the lake.House was very clean and the owner was very responsive to our questions both before booking and during our stay.

Love the place and hope to stay again. Short walk down to the lake where it’s easy to swim out to a floating dock. Love the lake. Various beach chairs, as well as kayak, SUP in the basement. Appreciated the mosquito repellent that was provided! Had everything we needed for our short stay.

The most beautiful spot! And the house was absolutely adorable it was the perfect fit for us and friends we had over for a cook out. The sunset in the evening was just the perfect end of the day. Amazing gem tucked away

We loved our stay at the Otter Getaway. Enough room for all five of us to spread out and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake. Kitchen was amazing and the tv/dining room was a cool, added bonus. Will definitely be booking again!

Beautiful Home

Otter Getaway was more than what we anticipated. The house and landscape were impressive complete with very “sweet” details. Having use of the kayak and paddle board made our mini vacation even more memorable.

Everything as advertised and up to expectations. Our only gripe is the Internet service was sub-par and cell service was lean. No worries though. All else qas grwat.

Great Stay!

We only stayed for one night to visit family in the area but all raved about how great the property was and that we would love to come back again to stay longer! Secluded, quiet location. Extremely clean. Great communication with a little welcome basket waiting for us. And comfortably slept 5 with the futon being much larger than we anticipated. Thanks for everything!!

Wonderful spot and beautiful place.

The cottage had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. The owners were very responsive to any questions or issues we had. The lake spot was beautiful for swimming and kayaking. At the beginning of our stay, there was a record amount of rain which meant mosquitos were plentiful. But after a couple days of sunshine they were gone. The DVD selection was so fun. Having a map of the lake was great. The beds were comfortable. Thank you!

Perfect Mainestay

Calyn's tastefully appointed, comfy cottage is beautifully located on quiet country road, on a small rise with a gorgeous, multiwindow main room and deck overlooking the lake. There's a kayak dock nearby among the lilypads and then a short walk to a sandy walk-in / another dock for lake enjoyment, with a raft to swim to. It's perfectly situated in the "narrows" of the large Lake Damariscotta, and even on summer weekends there weren't too many motorboats/jetskis. Calyn was super responsive and responsible in addressing any questions and needs. You're 15 minutes north of Damariscotta and 15 minutes south of Moody's Diner -- what more could you ask for?
