About this property

Coastal Village Cottage on Damariscotta Lake- Custom Built One of a Kind Cottage

Newly constructed 4 season home built in the 1930's craftsman style, this little beauty allows for all modern conveniences, while affording its guests an authentic Maine lakeside vacation experience. A gently sloping lawn leads to the bank of 17 mile long, crystal clear Damariscotta Lake, yet is a short drive to the rocky shores of the Atlantic Ocean. A 16'x16' waterside deck overlooks the private deep water dock and swimming float-just steps away from the cottage.
Two kayaks and one canoe are included with the rental that can be launched from the small sandy beach on the property. Exploring the islands and coves of this vast lake this way allows for an up close and personal look at the varied wildlife.
Autumn is especially spectacular in the midcoast region. A few minute's drive to Route 1 brings you along the coast with some of the most breathtaking views in New England.

A large stone fireplace and in floor heat makes for a cozy winter retreat at Pine Cone Cottage. Snowmobiling on miles of trails is just outside the door. Ice fishing, cross country skiing and ice skating are just steps from the house!

Wonderful location, plenty of space...
Second time my friends and I have stayed here. Lots of space for a lake house, everyone gets a bed! House is also in great condition, not cheaply made over as a rental property. Communication was great with the property owners. All in all no complaints!

Unique, cozy, clean property close to the town. Couldnt be closer to the water and kayaks / canoes were the perfect activity for the lake this fall! Would stay again.

Lake solitude
Brought my family from Brazil to experience Maine. When I asked how they felt about our lake house, one first timer looked deeply into the fog covering the lake and greenery in the distance and, in the most intense voice said, “I love this place!”
