We loved our stay at this cozy old home. The host was very responsive. Check in was easy. Clean. Well equipped kitchen. It was a great place to stay for a weekend of softball for my daughter's travel team. We would definitely stay again.

Overall the stay was great! The house is older but has a charm about it! The floors squeak a few places, the beds and pillows are very firm! The kitchen was well stocked so we were able to cook instead of going out for every meal. It worked for just a few days stay though. And there is a cute kitty that is there!

Very clean, family friendly home. Very close to downtown Shelbyville with plenty to do. Very nice to come 'home' to a quiet space every evening. Host is very kind and accommodating! Plan to come again!

I grew up in a small farm community in SW Minnesota much like Shelbyville. I get a feeling of nostalgia every time I visit. My passions are gardening, bird watching, reading and walking. My life motto is "Prayer, Patience, and Perseverance."

Why they chose this property

My young grandchildren live nearby and I now have the ability to visit more often. This is my cozy home away from home.

What makes this property unique

Built in 1923, this well-cared for home has the character of "years gone by." Keep your eyes peeled for our little red fox that comes to say hello every once in awhile.
