perfect place to stay in Cabarete

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It is perfectly located (3-minute walk in one direction to the big supermarket in town, 3-minute walk in the other direction to the strip of beach bars and restaurants), has stairs down to the beach from the pool area, and is located on a small, quiet street. We were nervous about noise from a large, nearby resort, but other than a few whoops and the fireworks on New Year's Eve, all we heard were the crashing waves. The space was very clean and equipped with what we needed for our stay (towels, pots, glasses, dishes, etc.). The views from the balcony and rooftop are amazing and the property is well-maintained by a helpful staff.

I have a good time

I was having a great time staying at the view until the second day of my vacation. there's a few difficulties the next day. I hope that the owner of the place fixed as soon as possible because the place is nice, just a few a little things to get it amazing for people like me to enjoy with no problem, while I was there , the inverter was promised to me to be fixing the next day around 1 or 2pm, but didn't cause I have found out the hard way when they took the light around 8pm , there's a blackout and I didn't know what to do because It's my first time having something like that happened, I guess that it's ok in the Caribbean but I'm not use to that, so I called paul to talk to him and his answer to me that he does not know anything about that because the maintenance man was supposed to take care of that and that i can go out and come back in a few hours , maybe the lights would be on... really!!! it was dark, couldn't see a thing, I was afraid and I went and talk to the security guy in the front and he didn't speak English, so I was freak out with my brother and my friends, my brother started being mad at me for renting this place. So, I told my brother that I will pay for his portion of the place to satisfy him and he agreed. and then, the lady that cleaned the house didn't come two days and I did put the wet beach towel in the dryer to dry when she didn't show up as she should be, so when she arrived the third day, she called the maintenance guy, and then the lady that cleaned the place said it's one of us that broke the dryer because she left it fine the day before, so he called the maintenance guy that started cursing at me to pay for it to get fixed and I did because I didn't want any problems with him or anyone elsein Dominican republic ... so, he did call someone to fix it and I paid 3,800 pesos that equivalent to around 76 dollars, after that, the rest of the trip was great... I think the beach make it up for everything else because we're enjoying the ocean more than anything else but I like to speak to Fabio and Nancy personally to arrange a discount for the second time that I'm going down there... I also like to know how much she wants for the condos that are for sell... call me as soon as possible for an offer... thanks

Great Stay

A group of friends rented the apartment. everything was neat and clean. aircondioning in every room and everything needed for cooking meals. Raul the maintenance man was very helpful and on the spot if needed. Janets Market is just a short walk down the road. The building could not be any closer to the beach and the view is extraordinary

Un séjour presque parfait!

Nous avons habité le condo du rez-de-chaussée pendant deux semaines. Nous avons apprécié la proximité de la mer, de la piscine et des restaurants de la plage. La vue est magnifique. Par contre, nous devons émettre quelques bémols: d’abord, la cuisine est mal équipée. Comme nous avons toujours mangé au restaurant, ce n’était pas un problème pour nous, mais il le serait pour quiconque souhaiterait cuisiner sur une base régulière. Aussi, la circulation piétonnière locale se servant du trottoir aménagé sur le terrain de la propriété, directement devant notre balcon, rendait l’environnment bruyant, particulièrement le matin au départ des pêcheurs. Finalement, l’étroitesse de l’espace de terrasse commun autour de la petite piscine peut rendre l’experience désagréable lorsque toutes les unités sont occupées à pleine capacité. Malgré ces petits désagréments, nous recommandons chaudement cet établissement.

Great Location

We stayed at The View for 3 months Jan to March 2019. The best way to review this is with pros and cons: The pros: Location, view, proximity to groceries and restaurants, cleanliness, 10% discount for last month because we were not happy. A/C, internet, back up generator worked great, close to Yoga studio. great staff Raul and Josie did their best. The Cons: Noise from night club till 3AM, Fishermen start working at 5AM, motorcycle traffic outside bedrooms and patio at all hours, no dishwasher on first floor, no grill, no hot tub, these were stated on website. Did not get the floor we requested even with email confirmation, Ceiling in master bath had a leak and bathroom was out of use for a week, ( we received a free buffet breakfast as compensation) A/C in Master bedroom was out for a week. kitchen had minimal utensils, we had to ask for a kettle, blender and frying pans. We had to buy all items, salt, pepper, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap, spices etc. No privacy on first floor, vendors selling to you while you are on your patio and in the pool. Pool is really small the picture on the website is from the top floor. Security was minimal people would cut through property from road and beach.

Thanks for your review, although some points are grossly inaccurate: - "Did not get the floor we requested": you booked the ground floor and this is exactly what you got (and this is why your review shows here, on the ground floor listing). You then complained about noises/privacy and asked to be relocated to the third floor, which we did promptly. A "thank you" would have been nice. - "Kitchen had minimal utensils, we had to ask for a kettle, blender and frying pans"; such items were provided the same day, again a "Thank you" would have been nice. - "No grill, no hot tube": there is a jacuzzi (in the master bedroom) and a BBQ/grill on the top-floor terrace, I don't understand this comment. - "We had to buy all items, salt, pepper, dish washing detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper etc." : yes of of course you had to buy such consumables, you rent a condo for 3 months and expect us to buy your toilet paper, seriously?

Excellent unit with a beautiful beach view.

We rented this unit for a week in November 2018. The ocean and beach view is amazing and the unit is in exceptionally well maintained. It is located on the east end of the beach. A recent storm washed away the sand from directly in front of the unit but the sand starts just a few hundred feet down a path from the unit. It is a very short walk to Janet's grocery store, an ATM and numerous restaurants. The full time security was excellent, as was check in. Thanks for a great stay.
